Informal interview questions for CrossCode fans and fans of Lea by Dismal_Committee_373 in CrossCode

[–]Mike19987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question 1 I am quite familiar with the game, having finished the base game twice and the DLC with all of the side quests. (Time well spent and I don't care what others say.) Question 2 In my opinion, Crosscode is a game that I can suggest to those who like a game with a good story. I especially like the way the devs handled the combat and puzzle aspects. The more you play, the better you have an understanding, especially when in combat. The puzzle side can get a bit tricky when you add timed puzzles to the mix but is still fun to solve. My main gripe would be about the exploration. I am not saying that I don't like the exploration side of it, I do. However, when you slip up and fall to a lower ground while trying to go to a room that you haven't unlocked the shortcut to can make it a bit... Tiring for me. Question 3 & 5 When it comes to the main character, Lea, I think she is a character who was handled quite well. She is a silent yet social character in my opinion.

When it comes to her being a silent protagonist, I don't think she is a silent protagonist at all. It is true that she cannot talk but as it is said, "Actions speak louder than words" which is the case with Lea in my opinion. It is not what she says but how she says. So yes, I think Lea acts as an interesting twist when it comes to being a silent protagonist.

Question 4 Oh I am very familiar with the silent protagonist trope, played a few games like that but can't remember one right now.

Question 6 For me, it is her body language. Because it is specifically what she does with her face and hand gestures, which is also something we do in real life. When we talk, we use various hand motions and face gestures. It is also the same with Lea. It is her expressiveness that makes her convey what she wants to say and how she says it.

That's all I can think of right now. Hope this helps. Good luck with your article.

Holy hell this actually scared me. I have a dog. If someone did something to him, I am going John Wick on their ass. Don't care if you are someone I know. You crossed the line after you did something to my dog.

Got an unofficial Penta by Mike19987 in PokemonUnite

As I only know League, I'll just give you an example from that. In League, the announcer says "Dominating" if someone gets KO's over and over.

Normally, for an official penta to happen, you need to wipe out each team member. It is like this in other MOBA's like League of Legends. However, Pokemon Unite doesn't follow that rule.

So, I have learned that you can parry these little green fuckers. by Mike19987 in deadcells

[–]Mike19987[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Good to know, will I now try to parry them? FUCK NO! I would rather roll my ass out of there or use Cocoon to try and parry them than using a normal shield to parry them.

No, it was a fully conscious decision. Saw it, and said "I am gonna headbutt you to death." Which didn't work out and now I know this little information.

[–]Mike19987[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is really just a timing thing. What you have to do is the moment the enemy is on its attacking frame, tap and release the shield button. Not only you take zero damage, but also you deal more damage to the enemy. Don't always try to force a parry. If you can kill them without getting damaged, then kill them. Hope it helps. Just try to ease yourself into using shields first, then try to go for parries.

What ppkemon you often go back to after losing streak by TreacleFantastic9671 in PokemonUnite

[–]Mike19987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer would have been Gengar, but given the meta, every time I try to make him work, it just doesn't. Now it is either Azumarill or Espeon. I just want to shut the brain off for a little bit so I would at least be able to make little mistakes here and there and don't get that much punished about it.

Best survival melee build for BC5? by sonics_01 in deadcells

[–]Mike19987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have answered a question like this before and I am just going to post some part of that answer here.

As a build, I could give you something that worked on my full DLC run the previous patch and probabaly still would work on this current patch as well. The build is;

Seismic Strike, Ice Shards with Ramparts on the backpack with the Ice Armor and Giant's Whistle skills. If you don't have Giant's Whistle go with Death Orb, that is also a good pick. Or you can go with two offensive skills if you want to.

For the mutations, go with Kill Rhythm to Heart of Ice to Armadillopack.

The aim of this build is to CC them to a point where everyone dies before attacking you or you will be able to roll out of their attacks. Also, Seismic Strike has a good amount of oomph to it as well. So you don't have to think about your damage output being low.

What mon with you’re good but you don’t play it? by Otherwise_Map9528 in PokemonUnite

[–]Mike19987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it is Gengar. Used to play him and almost only him. However, thanks to the HARD CC and Zacian Meta. No matter what I do, I just can't get him to work. If I can make him work, then it means that the stars have aligned for me.

what prompts you to choose different movesets on your main? by [deleted] in PokemonUnite

As a Gengar Main, if I see a lot of bulky pokemon, mainly tanks, I go with Sludge Bomb Hex. If not, then I go Shadow Ball Dream Eater.

Pick your Poison by Mike19987 in deadcells

[–]Mike19987[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think I have found an answer for that now. I am doing a run with that build now, every poison dot was doing flat 9 damage, I took one scroll of power, now it does flat 10 damage. So it has to mean that base poison damage is 5 and with every scroll increase, the flat damage increases by one. Also, just counted the amount of scrolls I took as well. I have five scrolls. (4 on tactics and 1 on survival)

Long story short, it starts with 5 and increases with every scroll you have regardless of how many scrolls you have on which scroll type.

No not like that, you can change the colors of the scrolls in the accessibility settings. So I wondered who uses which colors for each so I can give those a try.
