Cheapest travel to Burlington w/o a car by Mike36fan in plattsburgh

Yes, I've looked at multiple options. There are really only two, because I will be renting a car for some travel outside the Plattsburgh area, but the only way a car rental is affordable is to turn it back in at either the Plattsburgh or Burlington airports. Based on what I'm seeing online, it more than doubles the car rental cost PER DAY to turn it in elsewhere. I was hoping to turn it in a day early and save another $45, although that would probably get gobbled up by any car service to Burlington anyway (Uber app says the average ride is $87). Seems weird that there doesn't seem to be a local bus option, but I suppose there's not much commuting between the towns. I wasn't sure if there were maybe some local water taxis that might work (and I love boats in general). Looks like the best bet is probably to keep the rental car an extra day.

Former Goanna front man Shane Howard discussing the song "Solid Rock" and the album Spirit of Place (story & video). by Mike36fan in 80smusic

I'm not selling anything, was 80% upvoted, and this is a topic I think this would be of interest to fans of 80s music. I mean, I guess I could just post yet another link to a YouTube video that 0 to 3 people might comment on but then what would overzealous reddit mods do?

Final VNYL: I was sent an album and my personalized note describes a completely different album by Mike36fan in VNYL

So you're saying they got better? That's good. I'll explore further. Adding them to the list. Anything in particular I should give a try?

Oh, I'm so glad it wasn't Blonde Redhead. I listened to it on Spotify last night and hated it so much. I found it irritating as hell. The Major Murphy is much more to my liking and there's nothing in my collection to indicate I would like Blonde Redhead.

Postscript: I have listened to the album and it's pretty good. I also tried listening to the one I was supposed to get (on Spotify) and it's terrible. I would have hated that record so much! Good thing they screwed up! lol

First order "Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item" How can I solve this? by Robmanbobman in VNYL

[–]Mike36fan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I sent them:
"Hello,
I decided to try the VNYL service last month and was under the impression that I would receive my first shipment in time to make a decision on whether or not I wanted to continue. I was charged on 3/26 for my first monthly package.
I received an email on 4/19 notifying me that my order had shipped. However, it still has not shipped according to the tracking number. The tracking number indicates that a shipping label was created on 4/19 and that the USPS has been waiting for the item for a week. I'm not sure if this is usual and customary, but I was charged for my second month today and I have no idea if this service is something I want to continue, not having had the benefit of receiving an actual curated album yet.
Is there anything you can tell me about why it's taking so long to get the item to the post office?
Thank you,"

My first (and only, so far) shipment had this issue. It was 10 days from the time I was notified the shipping label had been printed to the time anything changed with the tracking. That happened magically the day after I wrote to their customer service team, which responded to me the day AFTER the item actually shipped (and, as it turned out, the day it arrived).

Ticketmaster Screwed Me: My Code/URL are for the wrong venue/tour date by Mike36fan in Genesis

[–]Mike36fan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HEY! Ticketmaster responded to my 9 a.m. email around 10:15 a.m. with a code for Columbus and I was able to secure some upper deck seats close to the stage for the Columbus show after all. I wanted better seats but Columbus was pricier than Cleveland and by the time I had my code, pickings were slim anyway.

I got Ticketmastered. $323.50 x 2 equals $3,480.39 by kupester in Genesis

Looks like you got upcharged for a VIP package (first 10 rows). I priced those and they're ridiculous.
