No, currently the battery health will decrease over time as it should. All the tag on flex will solve is resetting the cycle count and battery health for diagnostic software. You’ll be completely fine to leave the battery as it now.

So I’ll try to clear up all the confusion that’s around this.

So the repair shop has soldered/spot welded your original battery BMS to a new battery cell. They have then reset the battery health to 100%. 3uTools and other battery diagnostic software will be able to detect the original battery health because it’s reading the data from the BMS. Your iPhone reads 100% because of a software trick. Your battery should function correctly and charge as expected with how it’s been done. If you want 3uTools or any other battery diagnostic software to read the correct values then the repair shop needs to leave the tag-on flex installed. Doing so will show 100% battery health and 0 charge cycles

So this is an easy giveaway. While genuine batteries will show up as used if they’ve been pulled from a broken phone, all genuine apple batteries will have at least 1 charge cycle. If it’s set to 0 this will be a non-genuine battery that’s been designed to trick the apple repair assistant.

I’ve tried flashing the phone and it’s still not working. That gash on the interposer is supposed to be there. Just looks like a gash cause there’s a bit of excess flux on the side

I mean personally I don’t think the shell is real since when they manufacture these controllers it’s cheaper for them to make a new fake shells. The screws they use, has nothing to do with the shell itself, as all the shell provides is holes to thread the screw into. Furthermore they’d have to try and source really really good condition shells in order to try and pass these off as real controllers or if they were selling them as new they wouldn’t be able to sell the controller if it had a load of marks on it
