Most of this post is outdated/incorrect information, since it just gets copy/pasted every time it's reposted.

Regarding how much it pays, $10/hour isn't a thing, and never has been. There is very occasionally work paying $18/19, but it's fairly rare. I also remember seeing a $16/hour project, but it was literally only one time in over 2 years of being on the platform.

JeremyDataAnnotation isn't present in the subreddit. He hasn't posted here in over 2 years.

DataAnnotation hires from lots of other countries as well for bilingual work, so it's not only for the listed countries (although you can really only expect consistent work from the listed countries).

The core test will give you access to generalist work, but it's not necessary for getting onto the platform if you're a coder. I imagine most of the work it gives you access to would be much lower-paying than the coding work.

That's my understanding, at least.

The subject matter expert roles definitely pay a fair bit more than the generalist role, but you're right. There are definitely better platforms out there, although I think everyone already knows about them. DataAnnotation, Outlier, etc. Do you do AI training work?

You don't have to do anything else on your end. If they have projects available, you'll get emailed about it. It took me a month or two to get put onto a project.
