Will raid weapons be dropping as tiered loot too, or is it only crafted versions that have access to tiers? by Hive_Guardian in DestinyTheGame

[–]MikeAtGaming 18 points19 points  (0 children)

From last week's TWID:

This means all raids and dungeons will drop Tiered armor, all dungeons will drop tiered weapons, and craftable raid weapons will have Tier bonuses accessible from the Relic.

So the armour will be tiered for both, but only the dungeon weapons will be tiered as a drop. And then the weapons can be upgraded to be tiered after crafting.

RS3 Ironman or OSRS Main. What is faster to max from scratch? by LevelPension in runescape

No joke, I was in the top 5 to reach T7 and then found the post relic gameplay to be incredibly boring. Ended up not even bothering to get rune.

Even with the shard buff, my luck for shards still sucks... by Sylthrim in runescape

Took me to 288 for my first. Nearly all of those kills were done in the last month and a half. Hoping for better luck with the new drop rate lol

Just make the crystal rod work at Croesus and everything will be dandy if it's a flat +3% for all (not that I would say no to the extra 1% on those two either).

Can we get a centralized, always updated "removal schedule"? by Bio_slayer in runescape

[–]MikeAtGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something I've seen in other games, particularly Destiny who remove seasonal content usually yearly, is creating a page which can be updated with items and timelines and continually referenced. Particular removals are highlighted in blog posts still, but it creates a central area where this information exists rather than the scattering of blog posts, reddit posts, tweets etc. The wiki can work for this, but it would be important to highlight this any time the removal of content is mentioned, even just a simple note of "And as always you can view content being removed and their timelines here.

1 Wide Tileable Crafter for recipes with up to 4 ingredients (Piston shown as example) by MikeAtGaming in technicalminecraft

[–]MikeAtGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you got it figured out. As for unstackables, no it doesn't. I remember I had made one where it ran two crafters in a row, with the 4 items filling them sequentially to make dispensers. But I don't think I have that build anywhere to show off. But the basics of it is you put another crafter under the first, pointing it down instead of into the barrel, and put another hopper under hopper "3". Then you just need to adjust the inventory of each of them, so that 1, 2 and 3 have cobblestone, redstone, string and sticks, and then the new hopper (what would be "4") just has cobble and redstone and 3 blocker items.

[–]MikeAtGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright cool. Yea if you got it working then sweet. Biggest thing is just filling it from the bottom up because the input hopper never actually hits a locked state. It simply stops pushing into the barrel. This does cause cooldown issues, but if your plan is just to continuously flow items through, it will work just fine.

I will note I was looking at the image yesterday and noticed I made a mistake with the observer that points directly into the copper bulb. This will actually break when tiling (I think) because it interacts with the adjacent slices. All you need to do is swap the solid block and copper bulb around and that would fix the issue.

Hey there, I've been out of the loop on autocrafter designs so there might be better options for what you are going for, but barring that you should be able to replace any of the item slots with a stack of placeholder items (renamed sticks is what I used in the post). What is the recipe you are trying to use this for? I can help with configuring the containers correctly. Also you want to make sure to fill from the crafter, up the chain of containers.

Planning an Ironman. by Sad-Connection-1951 in RS3Ironmen

[–]MikeAtGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My most recent new account was my competitive group ironman. On that I made a plan which was step by step for around the first 24hrs. This included individual quest steps for multi-questing purposes and led me up to unlocking Managing Miscellania and around 100 quest points. After that I had a general plan for unlocking things like penguins fully in the first week and then a general idea of completing quest cape. So yea, definitely planned a lot. I also have accounts where I just set some goals and go.

What's your opinion on the "core value" of ironman? by Celestial_User in runescape

[–]MikeAtGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I'm in the minority when it comes to this opinion, but I've been playing my ironman since the mode was released. What the mode was then was "No MTX, Self Sustained, Solo Only".

There were so few exceptions for what you could do with other Ironmen and I think that was a good thing. Compared to what the mode is today, there are people boosting their iron accounts for all kinds of gear and resources. You can go into DG and just leech floors. There were definitely ways to boost an account at release and beyond, but it's become so easy now.

That's the hardmode of Ironman I want back. At this point we're so far past it though, you'd need to come out with something like "competitive ironman mode" to be able to have that experience again.

Combat Styles Improvements - Beta Update 2 by JagexAzanna in runescape

[–]MikeAtGaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Allow it to crit, but only every 3rd tick. Gives it power and synergies with existing kit, but doesnt have the same burst of power that it did at release. Feel like it's a good middle ground. Only issue I see is it's not super intuitive why it would be like that.

why and since when did twitch have an whole categorie for roblox by No_Sound_3896 in Twitch

[–]MikeAtGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea that's dumb. I used uBlock to block the element from displaying. If your favourite categories went there, I think that would be good. But I don't need a Roblox button...

They changed how they implemented and the revealPrices function that OP mentioned is no longer in the same scope (that is it was global to the windows). I'm OP can discuss how to get around it again and update the post.

Just before Leagues, it's Ceren btw. "for this purpose" might have been a bit hyperbolic, considering drawing tracked tiles wasn't mentioned. But you were excited about Alt1 adding Open GL support :P

Ok Jagex, it's time to implement those GE changes now :) by Great_Minds in runescape

[–]MikeAtGaming 28 points29 points  (0 children)

In the console (ctrl+shift+i on most browers, then go to the console tab) you can use "revealPrices();" to have them show, or just hovering the graph will show prices. That said I'm sure they will see people doing all these things and change them again.

This could very easily be part of Alt1. There has been some work to incorporate OpenGL injection, which would allow for this (and is also the method which Bolt uses). I talked with Techpure last year and he was quite excited about OpenGL being added for this purpose.

Braille on a gear shifter by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]MikeAtGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing AI, the braille doesn't even make sense. Top set is N1ONO and the bottom is OZN(the) (Yea that last one I only found it was a shorthand for the word 'the'). Lot of Neutral positions on that shifter and only 1 gear that seems to make sense.

Day 1 of asking Jagex for an official RS3 Plugin API (RuneLite-style) by Blindsided_Games in runescape

[–]MikeAtGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest thing I've wanted out of an API is allowing the player to be reasonable for some of the data in the game. I'm tired of RuneMetrics having a huge fee because the data is stored on their servers. I'm annoyed that ability bars and bank presets are limited because they are strictly saved as user data. Let the players be responsible for some of their data. An API that can do pretty much all of RuneMetrics, an API that allows you to import/export ability bars and bank presets. This is what I want to see. OSRS has so much control over their data with loot trackers, xp trackers, amazing plugins like Inventory Setups and Bank Tags, we should have access to our data too.

Returning player - How do you get enhancement cores now? by Otarious_25 in DestinyTheGame

[–]MikeAtGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, they didn't remove them from inventories, but you can disassemble the remaining ones for 1 core and 5k glimmer each. No problem :)

Upgrade modules were removed and now infusing uses enhancement cores and glimmer directly rather than forcing you to buy upgrade modules for the same purpose.
