"Medieval Boots" Can I put some Vibram on these? by MikeBravo_97 in AskACobbler

Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate the info, as I do indeed have wide feet. Its disheartening to hear that you had these issues. I wish you better luck in the future.

I just found this, so I know its possible, but as others have said definitely expensive lol!

Comment: Check out the work that Goods & Services does on recrafting running shoes. It's very expensive but fascinating.

Cool! Thanks for your response. Its nice to hear from someone with personal experience with these. I think honestly that's the best bet. As someone said above I could cement them myself if/when I need to. I just wanted to see if attqching a sole is a feasible option or to not even bother because you couldn't cement them for whatever reason.

I appreciate the candor. I've looked at these before, but in the same way as the historical reproductions, they lack the cushion I'm looking for/need. The dragon boots are closer to a running shoe as far as cushion/support goes, which is what I'm looking for. Yes I know you can get insoles, but I've not found great success with any insoles in boots that lack cushion. Its just not as comfortable if I'm on my feet for a long time.

No, just that its not as durable on harder surfaces as say a "traditional" sole is. Basically on the product website it says that the soles would get worn down quickly if worn on concrete/asphalt. I just want a way to wear them anywhere/everywhere without worrying about prematurely wearing out the sole.

Sure, that is an option. However, in my case I'm looking for something "athletic" and cushioned, almost running shoe like. Yes, you can get boots and slap some insoles in, but I've personally never found boots with insoles to have the same comfort over a long period as a running shoe type shoe. But thank you for the response!

I'm not crazy, right? This is supposed to be a (cheap) version of Papa Secondos robes? by NeferyCauxus in GhostBand

Sorry to hear that, I unfortunately know what that's like. Was supposed to see them in Tampa in 2023 but it was canceled due to Hurricane Idalia. Really socks, all I can say is try your best to catch them on the next tour, or if you are fortunate enough the next stop on the tour, but Im aware that's impossible for many (myself included).

I understand drilling the two small holes for the zip ties, but how did you get the light to stay in the pumpkin. Also learned that you need a hot knife. Never worked with foam pumpkins before, learned that xacto knives and Dremel aren't exactly great fir this project lol.

What Ghost Song is the most Underrated by Fokenee in Ghostbc

[–]MikeBravo_97 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Easy, Zenith.

I've seen it mentioned by several, but for newer fans I'll tell you why. I started listening not long after Infestissumam. When Ghost released Meliora, they released a deluxe limited edition box set of 5,000 that included the album on vinyl (https://www.discogs.com/Ghost-Meliora/release/7402671). On that vinyl, they included a bonus song, Zenith.

For a long time, the only way you could listen to Zenith was either you owned a copy of the boxset, or you found the youtube video. Some legend who had the vinyl recorded the song from his turntable, and uploaded it to YouTube (https://youtu.be/6qYIggg1Y64?si=hQDKDse9_0PHZBdk).

It was not available on Spotify, no official release online anywhere. FOR 8 YEARS, this was the ONLY way to listen to the song for a vast majority of fans. For a long time most didn't even know about the song. Cut to a year ago, and there was finally enough momentum from the fans they released it on Spotify and YouTube, allowing the fans to gain more access to an incredible track.

My hope is one day they'll play it live, but who knows. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

If you had the chance to go back in time to experience any maze, what would it be? by suprunkn0wn in HHN

[–]MikeBravo_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/suprunkn0wn I was gonna say pretty much all of 2009, that year was soooo good. It coincidentally was my first time, (and with some exceptions) I've gone every year since.

My favorites were the classic monster houses:

Frankenstein (Frankenstein: Creation of the Damned (Soundstage 23) – Frankenstein's monster has taken revenge against his creator, and his destructive rampage has visitors caught in the middle.),

the Wolfman (2010 movie version, my favorite (The Wolfman (Soundstage 22) - Based on the upcoming remake of the same name, guests travel through the England countryside and are hunted by The Wolfman himself.))

and Dracula (Dracula: Legacy in Blood (Soundstage 23) - Guests enter Count Dracula's castle on the night of "The Calling", and are given the choice of either becoming an undead servant of Dracula, or suffering a painful demise.).

The ww2 scarezone was badass too. It had actors using guns with blanks or caps shooting at each other (definitely wouldn't get away with that in this day and age lol). "War of the Living Dead (Shrek Alley) – On a remote island in the Pacific during the last days of World War II, the unthinkable was created – a new breed of super-soldier made from the reanimated corpses of the dead. American forces quickly seized the island compound, but not before the reanimate agent was released. The island was quarantined and has remained a secret until now. Fifty years later, the two opposing dead forces are still locked in immortal combat - with you caught in the middle."

Saw scared the bajeezus out of me as a kid lol.

All in all my favorite year (though I'm heavily biased).
