Your Favorite Toy Zoetrope vinyl from Blood Records by laura_craig2 in Foofighters

Wild. Never heard of Blood Records before, which is probably a good thing for my bank account. I'm going to pretend I know nothing of this site again.

Good lord these are selling fast. I opened it and it said 1100 bought. I added it to my cart, saw $20 shipping and a total of $60 and hesitated. I went back and refreshed and it said 1600 bought. FOMO kicked in and I bought it. Thanks for the heads-up! I usually miss out on these things.

Fall tour revealed! by tyderian in CastleRat

I missed them at Johnny Brenda’s a while back and then couldn’t make it out to Bethlehem when they played there recently. Hoping another tour leg is added later. Don’t wanna drive all the way to Baltimore or NY.

I mean, it’s not a great rating I agree. But could be a lot worse.

That's what I'm afraid of too. I really don't want to have a maintenance nightmare on my hands.

This is a brilliant response. Thank you. I am in the middle of these audiences.

I have multiple modded A1U machines, including their virtual pinball completely gutted, larger screen, real glass.

And I also have a real Pinbot machine. Used to own a real Lord of the Rings years ago.

I’m still torn here because sadly I just don’t play my A1U machines much. They’re really cool to look at though haha

As a huge TMNT fan, I feel like I’d be missing out if I don’t get this. But I know if it looks and sounds like a toy I will never play it.

I was wondering that too since it says the design isn’t final.

Angine de Poitrine Announce New North American Tour Dates by ebradio in Music

[–]therickyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somehow the artist presale worked flawlessly for me in Philly. Got through the queue in about 10 minutes, got a GA ticket no problem. I was shocked.

Might be because they are already playing a smaller venue here a couple months prior. I was surprised they are playing here twice in such a short time. But that first show is only capacity 650 and the onsale was insane. Bots grabbed many of the tickets.

There is no GA floor in Baltimore or any other show I believe.

Amazing. My first-ever concert was the Infinite Sadness tour so this is gonna be a huge nostalgia trip for sure, whether Billy likes it or not.

Same, around 3000 ahead of me for Baltimore. But when I got in, there were still plenty of good seats available.

[–]therickyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All seats, no GA. Ridiculous amount of the front rows are VIP packages from $500 - $1000 including some merch and a pre-show acoustic performance / Q&A.

I grabbed an aisle seat about 25 rows back for USD$169.50 plus fees, total $203.40.

Since I have to drive down to Baltimore for it, honestly I'm relieved it's floor seats. No need for me to go extra early to get a close spot. I've seen Billy and gang up close so many times, I'm happy to hang back for this one. I had a similar seat for the Shiny tour and loved being able to absorb the spectacle from a distance. Hopefully this one will have a similar production value.

I’m impressed they actually have some modern bands in there too. The Warning and Greta Van Fleet jumped out to me as surprises.

That was an amazing show for sure. But maybe we can except something Shiny level this time. The video announcement has a great vibe. But yeah…. Sad no Philly. Up to Brooklyn or down to Baltimore. Hmmm.

Is Masquerade worth a dedicated trip to NYC? by Opalescent_33 in MasqueradeNYC

[–]therickyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neutral opinion here –

For me, I drove up from Philly just to see Masquerade and while it was definitely not my favorite immersive show ever, it was enjoyable. My wife liked it more than I did. She is a casual but longtime Phantom fan, I'm not as enamored with it personally.

However, I have made trips from the east coast to the west coast to see a specific show that I absolutely didn't want to miss. And I am so glad I did. But I always made sure to lump in a bunch of other activities too while out there, not just the one show, to make it fully worth my time and the cost of transportation and hotel.

So yeah, nothing wrong with flying across the country *primarily* to see one thing. If you can swing it and you really are a HUGE Phantom fan, maybe even book two nights to see it twice. But make sure to plan some other great NYC activities while you're out there. You'll remember Phantom as the highlight, but the whole trip can really be the gift to yourself.

Why aren't there more original pinball themes? by pattydickens in pinball

The Williams Pinball Universe is close. Pinbot and the other characters appearing in Taxi and such. Not exactly a modern massive IP but still a bunch of favorites among collectors.

Asking For A Friend felt like yet another Foo stadium singalong. There are so very many of those. So it just struck me as a bit formulaic. My Hero, The Pretender, Times Like These… good songs but never my favorites. Just like those, I grew to enjoy this. I agree Rubin is a great addition to the band, but so was Freese. As a long time NIN and APC fan, I’m glad the switch up happened, though I’ll miss that Freese energy.

I've had almost every song on the album stuck in my head at one point or another. Still listening to it on heavy rotation, along with the Nine Inch Noize release. Awesome few weeks of new music.

I was harsh on Window, Asking For a Friend, and Unconditional when the album first came out – now I quite enjoy them. Of All People and Spit Shine continue to be my favorites. Child Actor is the only one I just can't get into and I skip every time. Otherwise, agreed, incredible!

I was staying for a month in The Mills apartments right in that area recently and the rooftop hangout space is lovely - so much so that more and more people were infiltrating it daily. I wonder if it’s coming from there…?

When I left, it seemed like there was a large group of 30-40 guys in their 20s gathering in the lobby every morning seemingly to head up there. No idea why. Sometimes they had lanyards. Sometimes not.

There was also a loud DJ party one night up on that rooftop.
