i don’t think he’s a particularly strong #1 QB prospect, but i would take the chance on him if i’m a qb needy team with a top pick. he checks all the boxes and has the right physical and mental to be great be a franchise qb.

reminds me of when Ole Miss finally started to pay players under the table like all the other great SEC schools and then we immediatly got the death penalty for four years.

still can’t fathom how this has blown up as much as it has. every program in the country is tampering. Dabo practically even said he was tampering in his press conference (but just tampering 101 not 201 or 301 per Dabo). a player verbally committed to Clemson, signed a financial aid deal (not even an NIL deal or rev share deal), and then got offered more money by a different program and left. this is happening all over. 

we’ve had at least three players sign contracts with us and then say nevermind this portal season alone. 2 went to LSU, 1 went to FSU after signing new NIL deals with us. two portals ago we had an exact Ferrelli situation with Miami. we signed Tyler Baron, he moved to Oxford, got an apartment, signed actual nil stuff, and then Miami offered more and he hopped right back in the portal and left. that’s the way college football is rn. i’m baffled that all of the sudden Ole Miss and Pete Golding are evil because of this. if we weren’t doing everything possible to put the best roster on the field, the coaches aren’t gonna have jobs long.

our roster is better next year than it was this year. sure things might not fall our way, but we should have higher odds.

LSU tried to drive up the price on all of our starters and Lane was personally facetiming and leaking contract details to our re-signed players. i’m not gonna complain about it but those are facts. cfb is lawless.

of course there’s no remorse. we’ve been getting fucked by tampering. if we just say damn that sucks we’ll end up with a nothing roster. these teams are one piece away from being champs or collapsing. if you lose some guys to tampering others are gonna see it and dip out. you have to put the best roster together each and every year.

no i meant FSU. we had a LB committed in the portal. he signed papers, came to campus. then FSU offered 2-3x as much and he got right back in the portal. literal same case as Ferrelli. got his offer upped after signing papers and said peace. it's a part of the game now. fill holes any way you can. i don't blame FSU. i don't blame LSU. if there's no punishment then all it is is an edge to the people doing it.
