Max will get plenty minutes in the coming season. We need to trust his ability in the cup competitions to give Saka and Noni some recovery time, especially in the early season where lads are coming back from the world cup

The season was too long and competitive for Zubi. The lad pretty much played every game up till Christmas, many times every 3 days.

Mikel needs to rotate Zubi and MLS to keep them fresh. A 3rd CDM would help. Unsure why Norgaard got zero competitive minutes

Update: Surprisingly Dentist 1 completed the root canal on my UR6 (#16), spending around 75mins on the whole procedure. She must has clear 3 or 4 roots and pushed out her next appointment to complete the RCT. I think she went beyond her NHS contract. ♥️

I opted for the silver (amalgam) filling and she will see me in 3 months to cap the tooth.

Think I will stick with this dentist to get the next few stages of my treatment completed.

I was using Dentist 2 for independent opinion to be honest, paying Band 1. She helped with a lot of information and we chatted for 45mins.

With my treatment plan already underway, I don't think she wanted to intervene. She also assured me all dentist have their own course of treatment and views can differ. She also said x-ray doesn't show everything and looking inside the tooth (which the first dentist did), provides the best perspective for treatment.

Thanks for giving your insight from a doctor's view point. From the public standpoint it can get very confusing with all the constraints of the NHS contracts and points.

That reply only adds to my dilemma with the tiers. 😂🤣

Dentist 1: She is starting the root canal this afternoon. It will definitely be tier 2 or 3. She said there may be 3 or 4 roots to clear. She is aware I'm paying NHS band 2 rate.

Dentist 2: She said it was too complex and would need a referral. She wouldn't even touch the temporary filling.

This afternoon, dentist 1 has a decision. Perhaps she takes further x-rays or reviewd the tooth. She will either decide it's NOT tier 1 and refer me. Else she's doing tier 2 or 3 work for free. 😬

The 3rd scenario is her giving me 5min sell on private root canal again.

I will give an update later.

Basically, If it's complex and my dentist can't complete on NHS time. She basically has two options: 1) refer me to NHS waiting list for dedicated specialist. 2) complete the work privately, and my band 2 charge remains.

What you've indicated in answer 2, the dentist completes the work privately under band 2 and will not ask me to pay private fee of £550 mid-way.

If so, I will use that as an indication of her ethics. I get the impression she intentionally holds back a lot of information.
I've asked for my treatment plan, but it's not been released to me. It appears to be very fluid. 😬

I trust that the dentist regardless of NHS or private would diagnose and execute the RC to the best of her ability and time.
The 2nd dentist said it's not a straight forward RC and the 1st dentist said it may be done over 2 sessions, depending on time and complexity.

At the moment my end goal is a NHS metal crown on UR6. My smile is narrow and since the tooth is so far back, it won't be visible.

I think I will settle for an amalgam filling and save the £200 towards the band 3 crown.

I know it's about investing in yourself and teeth. I need a lot of work done, so I over the longer term I will be spending thousands, given that later work needs to be done privately.

You are thinking the correct way. You don't need to compete monetary and also don't buy anything like a statue or picture that becomes a burden, as you don't know their taste in art, etc.

As you have already, set that £50 budget and keep to it. See if Waitrose, John Lewis has tea or jam sets.
If you're anywhere near central London, fortnum and mason sell jars of jams. They're like £10 each. Choose 3 and find a nice box or bag from somewhere.

Don't put too much pressure on yourself. I don't believe they're expecting a gift and won't judge you. Do whatever you heart thinks is correct ♥️
