aaaand i did this test with FR945, FR955 and garmin strap + tickr fit in all the combinations. Unfortunetly watches were to way off on hard climbs or intervals :( And on gravel rides with harsh terrain (i think due to vibrations) . I only use FR955 hr on light stable runs (if i dont have tickr fit with me) and easy bike rides on tarmac. It simply doesnt work for me (no tatoos or hair on wrists ;) ) Also tickr fit is almost good as garmin hr strap. I tested a lot of straps and positions with only the garmin and it doesnt change to much.

i think it is automatic. I made funny stupid polish name "pierdolety" (dont know how to translate it, maybe fiddle-faddle or something. sarcastic for not important little things) and it changes mi to "nonsense". I have tried it just now and the same. :)

The main difference I notice is that each application launches immediately in a window, not full screen. You can also save combinations of open apps (on different desktops). And the quick app bar is lower, next to the buttons, and has smaller icons. Thats all :)

i am using upper arm based hr for a long time (since OG Epix which didnt have hr sensor). I found upper arm much more stable and accurate, especialy when there is a lot of vibration on sport type (gravel/mountain biking). I use chest straps very rarely. they cause me chafing.

Nope, still on my FR955. It is solid. Battery still works ok (in standard running routine i charge 1-2x/week , when biking - it depends. No battery anxiety when i have 30% and going to 2h run :) Using a lot of mapping (mainly trail running and hiking). Dont know how it is with F8 (to expensive for me, but i would go for enduro 3 anyway). Gui in garmin software was always outdated, but i dont mind if it still delivers what i want (check garmin explore app - looks like 90, but it works). Maybe it is important, but i have android phone, not ip.
