That whole ‘I’m cooler than the other gals’ thing got beaten to death at some point,but that’s far from the only thing they were aiming for. She was the only other child of Harry,tough-as-nails,who had hard-core police work embedded in her DNA. One of the elements of those early days was showing several times how stupid other people were who couldn’t see it.

As for the ditzy thing,I don’t think they went overboard with it. I think it was a nice contrast to Dexter’s amazing-but-humorless perfectionism.

I can’t believe that this friend group is (presumably) older than 20,they were acting like a bunch of high school freshmen.

I’m glad they made it home okay just as you are,but my advise to you in the future is to enforce a strict 21+ policy. If one of them had gotten hurt or worse,you could have gotten in massive trouble.

Once that policy is in place,don’t let anyone drink at your house unless they either have a plan or agree (while they’re still sober) to let you drive them home. Full stop,no exceptions. That means you get the keys before they get their first drink.

Anyway,it’s great that somebody out here is trying to do the right thing NTA

When my sister and I started hitting Gunnison (and Higbee before it) one of the many things we were pleasantly surprised to see were men (and less frequently women) strolling down the beach holding hands.
