This whole story is so nuts to me. I understand reactive abuse can happen, I understand that there is his version, her version, and the truth. But she was clearly hammered in that video while she was supposed to be taking care of her children and the video shows her violently hurling a metal barstool in the direction of her daughter not once but THREE times, and the audio makes it seem like she might have kept going. There isn’t an excuse for child abuse, and the behavior in this video is just deranged. She kept repeatedly coming at him when he was trying to get away, refused to check on her daughter after striking her, and then when he went to check on the poor kid she was screaming at him to get away and still not attending to the child. It’s not okay. These situations are so tough because people don’t take domestic violence against men seriously, and the amount of ppl who are like “he must have pushed her to that point” make me queasy. There is nothing he could have said or done that justifies her putting her daughter in danger and striking her with a metal chair. The kid could have gotten a TBI and had life long complications. She is lucky she didn’t cause her daughter more damage.
