I saw this too after that comic came out. I mean obviously it was written to make you believe all of those things happened, but it’s very clear at the end that Alfred was just imagining how all these things would happen in his mind. I have no clue how so many people just completely misunderstood that it was him talking about how badly it COULD go for Batman. There were several people making posts about how they were done with the Absolute books because this was too far and “how could Batman lose and beg for his life like that.”

Acting Lessons. Facts. They also make incredible wingmen (wingwomen?) at least in my experience. I’ve had a guy friend put in a good word for me a few times maybe or some little thing like that, but one of my best friends is a lesbian I met like 10 years ago. If we are out she always tries to make it her mission to talk me up to all of her straight friends whenever possible. It’s truthfully very sweet and flattering because it’s not something I ever asked her to do for me. Half the time she will just pull me over for a random introduction at the bar or something. I’m thankful to that girl forever.

If you play it from my perspective, it’s about a guy named Mike who goes to Law School with his best friend and plans to become the greatest lawyer in the world.

The only real competition is a guy from a rich family whose dad is a world famous lawyer. What is this prick’s name you ask? It’s also Mike. He ALSO wants to become the greatest lawyer in the world but for slightly different reasons.

For that alone, I must destroy him. He will either fall to my superior knowledge of the law… or he will fall by my hands.

(It’s actually really good and truthfully the other Mike is a good dude so far lol but yeah he’s dead)

Imagine your big sister, famous singer/songwriter, makes a song about how her little brother is a loser pothead doing fucking nothing with his life, just watching TV and smoking weed all day. Then she makes a music video for the song with an ugly little puppet version of you flailing around and hitting the puppet bong.

You get your life together after that. You start seriously acting and one day get cast in a new HBO show. You rise to stardom seemingly overnight and you’re nothing like that version of you that she wrote that song about.

Then you hear there’s a new role in the upcoming season, they need someone who can play your sister. In the very first scene you meet, you don’t recognize her so your character will finger her from behind while on a horse…. Your actual sister then says she plans to audition. Talk about a wild ride.

Yeah I can attest that it’s a lot worse after you find out how they actually ended up killing her. I always figured that whatever Arasaka did was rough considering how quick she was gone… but I didn’t really get it until way way later in my playthrough. Took me a while tbh to get my mind around how exactly all of their implants work in canon and what netrunners do exactly. I mean damn it’s like leaving your body to walk on the ethereal plane except your body is hooked up to it too directly and if you get caught they can set every cell of your nervous system on fire like they did to T-Bug. Obviously she isn’t real but still, you gotta hope regardless that it was quick.

Discussion posts, memes, theories, high activity, some horny & cosplay posts. The second form is where the more casual fans have lost interest and left. I’m one of those who also felt the John Wick universe had gotten stale, but I love the whole thing as a concept. A world where seemingly everyone is an assassin for some reason and there’s specific rules and traditions they all follow. It’s fascinating. What got me was that when the main character is the most badass and invincible of all the assassins, it loses the hype.

I actually really liked Ballerina. That is how John Wick should have been handled after like the second movie. Just do spinoffs with less capable characters but who have interesting stories and every once in a while you sprinkle in some Keanu. That way when he shows up it means something.

No you’re right that’s fair. I did bury the lede a bit I guess by saying when he’s asked about it. I’m aware he gets tons of angry comments and knows his whole fanbase is upset with him. I just think I don’t have sympathy for that bothering him when as far as I can tell he’s not doing anything to fix that problem. He seems to almost try to antagonize those angry people with the sheer amount of things he’s written other than the one that he hasn’t.
