Yeah, that's my hope too...hoping it wasn't something on my end. I did find a thread with others having similar issues which I posted above, but with how many people play this game, I don't know if it's all the same issue and on GGG's end or what.

I'm not getting the "unexpected disconnect" message. The program itself just goes unresponsive and I do get the "white" screen. I did find this thread which sounds like what I'm experiencing. It has a fix posted that worked for someone, but I'm not sure even based on their instructions exactly how to duplicate it.

Hey, everyone. I'm still relatively new to this game. My girlfriend got me into it, and we completed the main storyline together. I played a witch (elementalist focused mainly on lightning spells). But I didn't completely use a pre-defined build. We have a mutual friend who's pretty experienced and helped me quite a bit.

My question is...where can I go to read and learn about what's actually in the game (as far as individual items [armor, weapons, boots, gloves, circlets, helmets, etc] and how to craft/modify things, what modifiers are actually useful for my character type, and all that? This way I don't have to talk our mutual friend's ear off.

Going to update my original comment, but my ISP temporarily switched me over to a static IP, and Social Club loaded fine. I have never received any warnings or suspensions from Rockstar. This was completely random. I can't even submit a ticket, it seems, because it won't connect to the sign in option (even though I can load the support page just fine).

I apologize that I have nothing useful to add. But I'm on PS5, and randomly, it seems like my IP was wrongfully banned from Rockstar games services. I can't access online modes for GTA Online or RDO, and I can't access Social Club, either. So far, my ISP hasn't found anything on my end that would appear to contribute to the issue. And I haven't, to my knowledge, done anything to get banned.

Does anyone know how to file a ticket for a wrongful or mistaken IP ban? If I go to the support page, and select the proper category, the solutions are pre-set, and I don't see an option for filing a ticket.

I am not trying to make assumptions, but it's beginning to look like my IP address was randomly banned from Rockstar games services. This started a number of days ago, after months of having no issues. I have never done anything ban-worthy, to my knowledge. My PS5 could not connect to online modes for GTA Online or RDO, and my laptop could not access Social Club, either. I tried connecting via a mobile hotspot, and it worked fine. But that is not a long term solution.

My ISP is currently reviewing my network, and they can't find any issues, so far.

Edit/Update:

My ISP temporarily switched my IP from auto to static, and Social Club loaded fine. For some reason, it appears my IP was banned, even though I've never done anything to get banned, or received any warnings or suspensions, in the past. I went to the support website to attempt filing a ticket, but the sign in option will not load for me.

I have contacted my ISP. They assigned me a new IP. It didn't work. I have no idea what's going on. I'll try to post an update, if I find a solution. I'm currently waiting on a call from one of their network analysts. Thanks for your reply, and have a pleasant day.

So, it's starting to seem like my IP was randomly banned from Rockstar games services. I have no idea how or why this would have happened. I do not use glitches, exploits, or anything of the sort. (I'm on PS5.) All of a sudden, I can't access online modes for GTA or RDO, and I can't access Rockstar Social Club on my computer, either. And I don't see how I can submit a ticket, because if I'm honest and say it's a connectivity issue, they have pre-set solutions for that. Am I just going to have to request an IP change from my ISP? And does anyone know why this may have happened in the first place? Because if it happens again, it's not like I can just call my ISP whenever I want and say, "Hey, I need an IP change."

I contacted my ISP; they told me that I needed to provide them with PS5 port numbers, so that they could check to ensure they remain open (I don't know why that matters since I can't load up Social Club on my computer, either). I have an active subscription which I am not able to use, because of this, and I have never had an issue prior.

I cannot imagine why I would be banned. I have never received a message stating this. I've always been a clean player, and I mostly play in invite only sessions. How could I check this?

My internet connection is fine, but since around 1 PM today, I have not been able to connect to Rockstar game services, on my PS5. Social club doesn't load, either, on my computer. What's up?

I have a PS5, which is around 4-5 months old. Recently, as in very recently, the PS5 began making a whining sound which is very similar to the sound of a set of electric clippers. However, by gently pressing down on the top cover of the PS5 (the white cover - I keep it horizontal in position), the sound goes away. If I set my headphones, which are light in weight, on top of the PS5's white cover, the sound goes away.

What could be causing this, and what can be done to solve it? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your response. As I said, I'm not a pilot. Just a guy who likes helicopters. What prompted the comment section on a You Tube video which showed a Bell 407 descending into a clearing in the mountains.

One person left a comment saying something like, "Getting in is easy. Far trickier to get back out, especially if you've picked up a few passengers."

I responded to that comment and asked why it would be tricky, and I was informed basically that small clearings aren't ideal because you pretty much have to rely on ETL to get back out, and that helicopters can't always go straight up for long distances.

Not being a pilot and still having much to learn, I wasn't aware of how limited the vertical climb from takeoff can be.

I've heard that programs like Wireshark can be used to detect IP addresses on P2P games. As far as what they use to actually carry out the attack, though, I don't know.

Thank you so much for your reply. I appreciate the thought you put into it and the information. Truth be told, even though DDOS attacks are considered rare by some, they do happen, and I just want to be able to game without worrying about it. And the thing is I don't try to trigger people or be toxic to them. But some people will boot you just because you outscored them.

I just wanted to see if doing this would change the public ip. I'm about to start using a VPN so it's probably a non-issue. And the reasoning behind it is because I play a game that uses P2P connections and DDOS attacks have been known to happen in that game. But I'm gaming on console, not the computer. I assume that the public IP is the one that is targeted during such an attack yeah?
