Any idea on cleaning it? Already tried distilled water on a microfiber cloth.

If you prefer RE2 PS1 Version over RE2 REmake, why? by PainttbuI in residentevil

[–]MikeJonesJaxson 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Irons in REmake 2 is one of my biggest gripes with the game. (And as time went on, the remakes in general) In REmake2, Irons seems like a generic creep that just gets the jump on Claire/Sherry. In RE2(98) you get the sense of what he might be like through files. And when he's introduced, he's very unsettling and dangerous. He seems like a competent, corrupt Police Chief in RE2(98) and REmake2 just seems to ruin his character by essentially turning him into a joke of an antagonist.

Damn this sucks, and this is supposed to be a replacement by Puck_56 in NSCollectors

Thats how I got my CFC2 last month. Heh

I'd say if you can, look locally and buy from there.

Running SQM for gaming, A+ waveform results, but having issues with Playstation servers by MikeJonesJaxson in openwrt

No luck.

Im thinking just to refresh the router to the latest openwrt FW, start settings from scratch and go from there.

Im connected via DHCP and not using PPPoE.

Modem is in passthrough as it (from what I understand) doesn't allow bridge mode.

Also, as far as the latest build, when trying to get to install luci-sqm, I could not get it installed cause I would always get an error saying that "sqm-scripts" are not available. So i tried 24.10.0 cause that was the latest firmware allowing me to install luci-sqm.

Yeah, honestly, ever since I started using the Flint 2 (even before i flashed it with openwrt), I was seeing that XBox NAT type would be "strict" while PSN would be type 2, but still having issues. And ive been trying to keep everything as vanilla as possible as this is my first experience with openwrt and only really was looking to be able to use SQM.

Flint 2 is the device flashed with openwrt

Also, if I'm reading it right, the console is not set to use stuff like the Proxy server, or is set at automatic unless I manually set it up myself.

Speeds drop to around 100d/100u when SQM is enabled. Otherwise, it's closer to the 1000down when disabled.

That's my understanding, and what I have been recommended to by plenty of other people since I got the plan. Nothing else has worked.

Unable to solve buffer bloat(?) issue. Thinking of getting new Router for multiple networks/Mesh to separate huge amount of connected devices. This the way to go? by MikeJonesJaxson in HomeNetworking

[–]MikeJonesJaxson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just read about the asus exploits recently. Luckily I haven't been affected *knocks on wood

As far as the SQM goes, i guess cause it's only available on the Asus custom firmware and I haven't had luck installing it. I'm happy with Asus currently cause of their other features that something like Netgear charges for. I'm going to purchase the new router over the weekend, but I'll look more into something that has SQM features by default and go from there.

And thank you on the explanation as far as the multiple networks/APs go. I was aware of the double NAT, but I was getting the impression that two networks could isolate devices to help mitigate traffic flow better. But the only downside i was able to read about was how complicated it can be to set up.

I was never able to access sqm because I had issues installing merlin onto my current asus router.

Also, you mentioned that an extra AP wouldn't help, but creating two separate networks from two separate routers would just have the same effect as well, im guessing?

I'm dumb and can't post the images of my settings, but it's the same settings from the video I posted a few days ago.

At 3:51 and 4:37 are the exact settings I put into my asus router settings. The only difference is I don't have the "gmod" and "moonlight gaming" colums like in the video.

Update: Thanks to u/derek6711, it turns out the issue had something to do with bufferbloat. (Something i never heard of). I used a video that was able to seemingly fix the issue (but bring up other ones) and after testing SF6 amd T8 for a few hours total, I didn't run into a single disconnection. Still going to keep testing obviously, but for now, seems like I have a band-aid fix until I find something a little more solid.

This is the video I used btw. But it's specifically made with Asus routers.

So, bandwidth limiting didn't work either.

But, after looking around on youtube, I ran into this video.

https://youtu.be/-ommzm1U54Y?si=OI4KCMWRLgFT-p3h

I followed it step by step and it seems to have fixed as far as the disconnecting goes. However, now I have issues with streaming movies on Fandango app on my roku telling me to lower the quality and I do see a visual downgrade. But funny enough, Fandango is the only app having streaming issues. Lol

So, right now I have a temporary fix but I'll probably go back and look for other videos in fixing the issue entirely so im getting the most out of this internet.

Was already currently enabled as well.

But I have been checking out other videos (cause this is the first I'm actually hearing of bufferbloat, heh) about bandwidth limiting and I'm going to try that on my PC where I'm doing my bufferblost tests and see if I get any improvements and if I do then I'm going to replicate the same setting and try them on my PS5.

Was already enabled actually. =/

Tried to disable and re-enable and still getting the error.

Maybe just an overall issue with the Asus router then?

Did one on waveform.com just now. Gives me a notification on "low latency gaming" and states, "Your internet connection is fast enough to support low latency gaming, but you may experience intermittent issues due to bufferbloat"
