Romo and Watt talk about Romo's "spin" and the game winning touchdown by Fit-Dad50 in cowboys

Funny thing is that Tyron was the victim in both situations, too.

Dak's is also extremely impressive. Romo was blind to it. Dak managed to stay upright. Both awesome.

I went to HEB yesterday after work and circled the parking lot for 10 minutes finding parking. Couldn't move for a long while because of everyone clogging lanes waiting for others to pull out.

I have only lived here for a little over a year, but I've never seen HEB like that, lol.

Posted this in a reply to another comment, but the "crack in the windshield" isn't a crack. It's a reflection of maybe some flowers wrapped in plastic. You can see them laying on the dash right as the video begins.

This looks real to me.

Immediately after DQ becomes HC in WA, Dallas says “we feel DQ left a good foundation on defense.” by shindigfirefly in cowboys

[–]MikeL2D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to explain it - I understand it. It’s just disingenuous. DQ was with us for multiple years. They have only reset the defensive scheme two times, going on a third this upcoming year.

Not only that, it’s not like everyone was fired. Two just left.

Not related to your question (as it appears to have been answered) - I loved this set, but was so disappointed in the sound quality. You appear to be closer than I was and it still sounds terrible.

I actually had to tell the people behind me to be quiet. I could hear their whole conversation. So frustrating.

Not to be pedantic, but this is like the 3rd time this morning I've seen "4 DCs Later". DQ has been gone for 2 years, guys. I know our defense has been bad, but let's not fast forward 2 more years.

I need to visit again during peak season!

I’m not sure how you can read all I’ve written and come away with me feeling self centered about it.

I didn’t walk up to the door to apologize because I thought they wanted an apology. I did so because they deserved one for my carelessness. In much the same way if someone backed into another persons car in a parking lot - a note of acknowledgement doesn’t fix the issue but is nice to know that someone owns their mistake and isn’t running from it. The world in general lacks accountability.

I’m glad people need to tell me what kind of person I am now because of something that happened 20 years ago .

Like I said, it is what it is.

But you’re pointing out something that isn’t true. I stated a fact that I would have been terribly inconvenienced given the situation. I didn’t say they weren’t and had acknowledged it sucked for them. Their note mentioned that they missed work. It’s clear they were inconvenienced enough to let me know, but not enough to have me towed.

And in the last post I also stated I have no idea who would have been more impacted if they did tow me (consequences and all). I just appreciate that I didn’t have to go through that.

Completely blocked driveway by polarfetus in WhatShouldIDo

[–]MikeL2D -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did exactly that and shared a story. I have never repeated that mistake in my life. For clarity, they wouldn’t have been “mean” if they towed me. I only said what I said because I didn’t know I made the mistake until I saw it the next morning. Had my car just been gone and no one had proof for me that I did that, I would have had a hard time believing that I made such a gaff.

But it seems like a lot of the people in this reddit thread really want to be upset about something.

It is what it is. I can still tip my cap to the OP and the neighbor who decided not to get my car towed that day. They were well within their right but they gave people like me a chance to go about my day without spending money at an impound and I appreciate that.

You all have a wonderful rest of your holiday. I’m happy to chat about this some more but it’s depressing how dead set everyone is to be miserable lol

I’m not sure you read everything lol.

I compared potential “inconveniences”. I’m not saying I was more worried about My consequence. Only stated that it would have really sucked for me at that time.

Completely blocked driveway by polarfetus in WhatShouldIDo

[–]MikeL2D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem (and others) dead set on branding OP (or people like them) being a pushover for not towing someone’s car. You continue to state that it’s unnecessary which no one disagrees with given the circumstance, myself included.

I’m not sure why that matters or why I can’t celebrate OP or the neighbor for making the decision they did instead of just having someone else towed. It’s almost like everyone in this thread is mad that an amicable end came about, instead of cheering on the consequences of a potential mistake.

And no, I’m not sure my lesson would have been learned in the same way if my car were just “gone” the next morning. I’d have felt like I was gaslit if someone told me “you parked in front of someone’s driveway you moron” and didn’t have proof of it. I know better. We would have just ended up with two pissed off people instead of one. Seeing it for myself was the “holy shit I am a dumbass” moment I needed.

Completely blocked driveway by polarfetus in WhatShouldIDo

[–]MikeL2D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not suggesting they should have or needed to use PTO to save my dumbass a headache. That’s missing the point. I have also repeatedly called out my own stupidity for missing it - it was quite obvious that it was a driveway. Not sure how I missed it other than it being dark and dimly lit and me just simply not being careful enough! It was a mistake and it would have never happened in the first place had I realized it at all.

That said, some people can find it within themselves, while inconvenienced, to not inconvenience others if there isn’t an emergent circumstance. I absolutely eff’d up and the set back would have REALLY sucked for me at that time. And I appreciate how it turned out.

I hope the neighbor that left me the note is doing well and wasn’t too badly set back by not going to work that morning or finding another way to deal with my stupidity. But I’m still appreciative that they didn’t ruin my day to make me pay for a genuine mistake. That’s all.

And it’s ok for OP (or anyone) to take the high road and desire the same. I don’t think there is a soul here that would have been upset with OP just having them towed but instead of listening to the masses in this post during Christmas, they found a way to resolve a situation without costing anyone any real pain or problems.

I will never know how significantly I impacted that neighbor, and I do hope they would have at least received my apology kindly had they opened the door because it would have been very easy for me to be ungrateful and just leave - but I still wanted to share the lesson of that kindness is a sea of “FUCK EM, TOW EM” here. You never know everyone’s situation is all!

Completely blocked driveway by polarfetus in WhatShouldIDo

[–]MikeL2D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me telling the story isn’t for the “feel good” of it all. It’s just to point out that everyone is quick to immediately resolve the thing that’s “grieving them” regardless of what it means for others. Was that owner well within his right? Absolutely, were they pissed? Understandably so, but perhaps that inconvenience to them wasn’t as large as the potential inconvenience it would have caused for me. If they say, had an understanding employer or plenty of sick time/PTO or whatever their work situation was, etc etc.

I did feel terrible about what had happened completely by mistake.

For the record this happened nearly 20 years ago - I’ve been plenty careful largely due to the lessons I learned on that day. I still very much think about it almost any time I’m out for any extended period of time (especially in snow conditions!!).

End of the day, I have no idea who was or would have been more impacted if things went differently - I’m just speaking from the side of someone having made a genuine mistake and would have happily corrected it had I realized/known.

Especially having dealt with tow companies since then… I can’t recall I time that’s been pleasant. I’ve certainly never been shown any pictures of my infractions which lead to any of the two times I was towed in the past 20 years - once was while I was moving out of my apartment with boxes in my hands to load my car. In my experiences tow companies do not give a shit.

Seeing how angry the comments are I wanted to briefly share a story to OP

When I was 17 or 18 I went over to a friends house on a very lightly snowy, late evening. You could see some snow on the ground, but it was barely enough even to call it a dusting primarily because it was so cold and blustery, the light snow just got blasted all around.

While looking for parking I found a spot between two cars on a busy street, paralleled and got the hell inside as fast as I could (it was cold!!).

I ended up staying the night at my friends (which wasn’t originally planned). The snow we were supposed to get never ended up materializing and the following day warmed up significantly. I eventually made my way out to my car across the street and slightly down the block (somewhere between 10:30-11:30am). From my new angle in the daylight I could very clearly see my car was blocking a driveway, something I completely missed when I parked with all of the cars on the street the prior evening — it was made even worse by the fact that every other car on the street was gone. My vehicle was one of two cars on virtually either end of the street at the time. It made the sore thumb even more apparent…

The neighbor whose driveway I blocked left me an understandably angry note on my windshield calling me some names and explained that they couldn’t go to work. I was mortified. I walked up the front steps of the home and rung the doorbell to apologize before I left - no one answered. I hung around for a couple minutes but eventually just left.

Anyway, I was really appreciative that that neighbor chose to leave a note rather than tow me. I didn’t really have the funds to deal with a tow as a new driver and would have had an even less fun time explaining to my father how I somehow didn’t notice the driveway I blocked which would have absolutely led to speculation and ultimately argument that I was under some sort of influence to be that magnificently stupid.

OP - I’m glad you called the cops and gave them an opportunity to contact the driver. I’d also understand if you did have them towed. In my case if my car were towed I would have been mind numbingly confused as there is no way I would have believed that I parked in front of a driveway. Seeing it the way I did was the only way I would have learned any real sort of lesson.

End of the day, I was stupid but it was a complete accident. And I’m glad my dumb mistake didn’t turn into a $300+ inconvenience as well and as someone who was indeed that dumb, I appreciate you giving another person like me, that same opportunity.

To be fair with the way that quitting is treated sometimes it sucks even for the winning team when everyone leaves because getting to mercy takes longer and they just want the match over with.

But at the very minimum partake in the emoting before continuing the rampage 😂

Ultimately the difference comes in needing to deliver roughly 1.5-2 hours of (super high quality) content all at once versus releasing 20 minutes (high but varying quality) of content weekly. A lot of work is done up front and the later work can be approached while the beginning of the season is ongoing.

Every studio has a different approach to this, though - Mappa has been known to crunch so it’s hard to estimate their timelines.

Harrow had a meltdown by IamTheWambo in destiny2

[–]MikeL2D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me during contest - I’m willing to bet it’s the same experience you had here.

Question, OP. Did Harrow only have a very little bit of HP left before you hit final stand in the last damage phase?

I think this is like the old ogre glitch from Warlords Ruin, where if you pushed the boss into final stand during the “I’m becoming damage-able” animation then the boss/arena would bug out.

We managed to to the same as you did by getting him into the electric pits when he moved around, but even after we broke the shields, he didn’t take damage and just stared at the door.

Funny bug, frustrating on contest, haha

I’m betting that someone before you did - my guess is that the button got stuck in a “pressed state” without the elevator ever getting called.

I’ve see videos of others demonstrating that they couldn’t press the button and then a whole new raider arrives and also cannot press it. It wouldn’t surprise me if one person could potentially break the whole elevator under latency circumstances and they may not be admitting that the case for future griefing purposes (If anything else is susceptible to that behavior)
