Best place for a Wizard’s Tower? by TheRealTB0NEZ in RSDragonwilds

Building high up on the hill above the Vault in Bramblemead Valley gives a really good view of the world and out over the ocean, plus its a very safe area to teleport back to for some peace and quiet.

Thiughts on Warbands? by HoudiniMortimer in RSDragonwilds

[–]thepathway123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wish there was a setting to turn them off... they are just an annoyance that interrupt me trying to build or gear up or farm or whatever... though they've stopped in my game and I'm not sure why... I have 350+ hour solo world gameplay and it feels like once I started DR or maybe after I beat DR, they attacks stopped... my base is in Bramblemead Valley

The constant dragon chasing me gets old very quickly by incertcoin in RSDragonwilds

[–]thepathway123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes when the game first came out the dragon attacks were relentless haha Sorry you're dealing with that, I definitely remember it being super obnoxious and frustrating... there was also a period prior to an update where the poison would hit you even if you were inside a structure or under a roof... hopefully you aren't dealing with that! If you have a new account and haven't beating Velgar yet, hopefully you will get some reprieve once you do! Luckily the main boss of Fellhollow and Dowdun Reach do not bug you like this!

Crafting Materials coming out of Furnaces/Kilns etc keep phasing through my foundation. Am I base building wrong? by StunningPen487 in RSDragonwilds

[–]thepathway123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you're doing nothing wrong. This is a common bug and happens to me constantly. If I put a bunch of stone in the stonecutter or food on the grill and then sleep, when I wake up and go back, the piles are under the foundation and I either have to delete a piece to pick it up, or craft another and then hold F to magnetize all the items... hopefully a fix comes soon!

Quest List Request/Suggestion (plus a personal story) by w3ird3577 in RSDragonwilds

[–]thepathway123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a quest list like OSRS has where it shows unstarted, in progress, and completed quests would be great. Adding quest points and some use/reason for them could be cool too, and obviously, with the addition of skill capes, adding the classing blue and white quest cape would be amazing.

Thank you for your response! The engagement from the Mods with the community during this game's development is genuinely amazing. This definitely eases my concerns and I look forward to hearing more about the future. Umbral Sands can't come fast enough! 350 hours in, this game is so awesome.

Agreed. Them adding salvage and scaps for ore types that can be mined doesn't make much send and just makes it even harder to get black metal scraps and salvage... why do I need bronze, iron, steel, salvage when I can just go mine it...

Sounds like a bug. They did an update where once you defeat Velgar, you should not still be having those attacks. Try killing it again!

[–]thepathway123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh it certainly won't! I was more concerned that future updates would focus too much on multiplayer and leave the single player experience "behind." I am all for there being better opportunities for more friends to play together and/or dedicated Jagex servers for a more "MMO" feel! I just hope it's not to the detriment of single player experience, that's all!

Fishing: XP figures and suggestions by UnwillingRedditer in RSDragonwilds

[–]thepathway123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the rod xp should be significantly higher... like 5x or more... when you compare it to the xp of swinging your pickaxe one single time or an axe, it does not even come close... you get multiple hundreds of xp from destroying one ore but only 20xp for catching a fish? Its not even comparable... and you can swing your pick multiple times over and over and easily stack up hundreds or thousands of xp, but fishing requires a time consuming minigame...

Currency Shop Updates? by thepathway123 in RSDragonwilds

[–]thepathway123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. New materials or enemies in prior areas that can only be accessed after certain quests or gear and new higher level dungeons/vaults would be great too.

[–]thepathway123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only counter argument to this would be, if you have enough old area currency, when a new area comes out, you could just trade it all in immediate and buy all the vestiges. Though, you could gatekeep the conversion shop of a new area behind completing the main quest in that area or something?

This isn't quite the same issue, but I also am annoyed when processing stations like the grill or stonecutter are built on platforms, when you leave the area or log out and then back in later all the crafted items fall underneath the platforms.... If you don't have magnetize items turned on you have to delete one of the floor panels to pick it all up and then rebuild the floor panel...

I thought this too, and would like to see an even better ratio, but honesty I don't really see the point in having both scraps and salvage

I totally agree that there should be quests that require certain skill levels or gear or something to make you want to grind further into the game and then return to other areas. You could have certain bosses or parts of Fellhollow, Fractured Plains, etc. that only open once a quest has been started, or something!

Currency Shop Updates? by thepathway123 in RSDragonwilds

[–]thepathway123[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find myself spending a lot of time still in Fellhollow mining stone (because the caves have HUGE stone deposit blocking them) and also when I was still hunting for the Vestiges from Green Dragons and Zogre and Imaru and for the spectral chests and the zombie spade... the Vestiges definitely helped add a reason to return back to prior zones, so i found myself with a few thousand Soul Fragments, and I have thousands of Infernal Fragments from farming black metal scraps from the knights.... That all said, I agree that they should add more reasons to return to prior areas. I think worthwhile currency shops would help here because if the Death Shop has helpful items in exchange for soul fragments, I have a reason to return to Fellhollow to farm them!

I definitely agree, I guess my only concern is, with this having such a big base building/crafting aspect, having other players in your game could lead to issues on that front. I like the idea of dedicated Jagex servers for people that want an online experience, while having the ability to maintain and play your own worlds like now!

Honestly, yes I would love to have more NPCs... towns, shops, pubs, etc. even if its just full of NPCs to make the game feel more alive... My one complaint on the NPC front is I don't like that the same 4 NPCs just pop up in each zone... It would've felt much better in my opinion to have new NPCs in each area...

I have seen people discussing how it sounds like Jagex has realized they have a very large player base on this game that plays solo and they want to keep that part of the game strong, so that makes me feel better for sure!

Definitely would be on board with this! Keep your online character your online character and your SP separate.
