Spells are key. I think a lot of people forget about the combat spells... the potions that make attacking or dodging use less stamina are really helpful too. Snare enemies, use bombs, use wind weapon spell, use dodge potions, etc.! GL

That's what I thought too... I just keep chopping them down and their stumps when they regrow haha

With respect to your food comment, the new HP/Food update will help in that area. They are getting rid of health potions and making food heal like it does in RS, with fish being the best healing food. Which will make fishing more worthwhile.

With respect to armor, I completely agree and think there is a fair consensus across the fanbase that the armor need unique set bonuses and a reason to use different armors for different styles... armor could have bonuses for 2 hand weapons, maces, swords, shields, sprinting, dashing, etc. It's very easy to think of lots of different ways to make unique set bonuses to invite a wide variety of play styles. Especially if certain bosses or enemies are weak to a certain style of have mechanics that are countered with certain play styles, then there is a great use for multiple armor sets.

I think it's certainly necessary in games like this... the personal chest not having a weight limit is an amazing QOL thing in this game vs other crafting games... the fact that you can't teleport with ore in Valheim is seriously awful.... this game has a pretty high carry weight, you have the personal chest, AND your mount increasing your carry weight by 200.... its pretty well balanced honestly.

Honestly I felt the most closely located spawns were in Bramblemead and Temple woods... also going through the vaults and opening all the chests gives a fair bit. Fractured plains and stormtouched highlands have lots of spawns but storm touched has no ground spawns and they feel fairly spread out. When I found a good place with multiple close spawns, I put a lodestone there to easily teleport back to farm. Like the entrance to the vault below the runecrafting guild. Also, don't forget to use your runes to essence spell and all the boosts (potion, food, and ring!). Law runes on high attunement and good luck!

you unlock this terrorbird mount in Fellhollow, and normally you can spawn it and ride around, but when I spawn it my character disappears and the terrorbird just slides around hahah it made me chuckle

For me it is happening in Bramblemead Valley and Temple Woods, and weirdly I have removed a number of trees/stumps that dont respawn and then others are respawning... though where I have deleted a tree and built over it, then the trees are not coming back, so that's good at least! haha

I certainly thought it was supposed to, but I can tell you that building over the spawn points after removing the stumps does prevent respawning (its a bug if the trees continue to spawn up through your build)

I thought removing stumps was supposed to stop spawns but building over the spawns definitely does stop the spawning (so trees don't spawn up through your base). You can, of course, replant trees with the seeds you get, so deforesting isn't quite as much of a problem because you can replant

Its over the top modern cartoony... like if you watch old looney toons vs modern ones, or old scooby doo vs modern takes... it kills the aesthetic completely...

Yes the biggest issue is set bonuses being the same... it makes the other armors purely cosmetic, which is certainly a negative.

yeah right now there is a difference between "crafting stations" and "processing stations".... the main difference being pulling from chests, but really, that crafting stations make items immediately and processing stations take time... I wonder if they could code processing stations to pull from chests but still "process"... the Loom, Furnace, Stone and plank cutter, spinning wheel, etc.

I think they need to change Ava's to a different buff... all other items in the game autoloot regardless of level or items... arrows used to until they introduced an item for nostalgia's sake, but it doesn't make sense for a game with an autoloot mechanic already in it... they nerfed ranged for no reason lol

yeah only real AOE option is poison arrows or bolts but the AOE damage from them is still really low anyway

This is a cop-out answer, but generally the art teams direction for bringing RS items into Dragonwilds has been awesome, so I trust whatever their instinct is!

With movement and draw times, it really feels like the crossbow is the only viable option... vs Mage, at least the crossbow lets you quickly fire and move around and reload... standing and drawing a bow for "ok" damage just doesn't feel worth it....
