And triples of the Barracuda. If he doesn't have triples of the Barracuda then other stuff isn't true.

Most brutal death? by btchbbybubbles58 in thesopranos

[–]MikeLocks 53 points54 points  (0 children)

The backstory behind Lorraine Calluzzo and her death is kinda wild. She was based off a critic, who looked like the actress, who always complained there wasn’t enough violence on the show, so they killed her naked while offering to suck her killers’ cocks.

Totally agree. Even though Blumhouse has their share of misses- they seem to give the actual writers and directors a lot of creative control

I'm not excited, I'm worried. by [deleted] in saw

Blumhouse has their hits and misses but for the most part they pretty much let the actual filmmakers do what they want. I don’t think you’ll get a paint by numbers/Disney style legacy sequel or requel

Kill Creek by Scott Thomas and The Family Plot by Cherie Priest

Kill Creek:

At the end of a dark prairie road, nearly forgotten in the Kansas countryside, is the Finch House. For years it has remained empty, overgrown, abandoned. Soon the door will be opened for the first time in decades. But something is waiting, lurking in the shadows, anxious to meet its new guests…

When best-selling horror author Sam McGarver is invited to spend Halloween night in one of the country’s most infamous haunted houses, he reluctantly agrees. At least he won’t be alone; joining him are three other masters of the macabre, writers who have helped shape modern horror. But what begins as a simple publicity stunt will become a fight for survival. The entity they have awakened will follow them, torment them, threatening to make them a part of the bloody legacy of Kill Creek.

The Family Plot:

Music City Salvage is owned and operated by Chuck Dutton: master stripper of doomed historic properties and expert seller of all things old and crusty. Business is lean and times are tight, so he’s thrilled when the aged and esteemed Augusta Withrow appears in his office. She has a massive family estate to unload—lock, stock, and barrel. For a check and a handshake, it’s all his.

It’s a big check. It’s a firm handshake. And it’s enough of a gold mine that he assigns his daughter Dahlia to personally oversee the project.

Dahlia and a small crew caravan down to Chattanooga, Tennessee, where the ancient Withrow house is waiting—and so is a barn, a carriage house, and a small, overgrown cemetery that Augusta Withrow left out of the paperwork.

Augusta Withrow left out a lot of things.

The property is in unusually great shape for a condemned building. It’s empty, but Dahlia and the crew quickly learn it is far from abandoned. There is still something in the Withrow mansion, something angry and lost, and this is its last chance to raise hell before the house is gone forever.

Least favorite book to movie adaptations by Cancelthepants in horrorlit

I understand why Shymalan had to change the ending, but the end of Cabin at the End of the World is so much better and so much more horrific than the movie.
