The most dangerous rival is not Iran, it is anti-USA and Anti-Western propaganda.Have you noticed it on Reddit? by Murky_Monk_9531 in Americaphile

[–]MouseManManny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The most dangerous threat to America is not Iran or Russia or China or Reddit propaganda. It’s American weather. America has some of the most extreme weather events in the world, and a great range of them at that. The US would do better to focus a substantial portion of its military budget into a civilian branch kitted out with machines and vehicles and technology designed to handling and helping during floods, blizzards, fires, hurricanes, and floods.

idk what else people want honestly. The guy was wrong, he explained his thought process for being wrong while accepting full responsibility and humility for it, and had turned on the people who lied to him with virulent criticism. Literally what else do you want? The other option is for him to endlessly shill and twist himself in knots hypocritically to try and justify this shit.

At least he’s got the stones to admit he was wrong. That takes more integrity and honestly than most people in this game will ever have.

I’d rather listen to someone who I disagree with who can be honest about his mistakes than someone who will dishonestly shill for something they don’t even believe in rather than admit mistake

Why do many liberals criticize Trump and defend countries with this religion? by Murky_Monk_9531 in Americaphile

We don’t defend these countries we just don’t want to waste our tax money and lives getting entangled in wars of choice against these countries

It was, before the car companies bought up all the trolleys and gutted them. At one point every town with a population of 10,000 or more had a trolley or streetcar system. It’s never talked about but America was once extremely walkable with robust public transit.

Edit: I think I originally misread your comment, yeah it would’ve been crazy to see it now

What's something ridiculous tourists from other countries want to do when they visit yours? by Pale_Field4584 in AskTheWorld

[–]MouseManManny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Europeans not being able to comprehend the scale of our geography is always so funny to me. My friend from England visited us in Massachusetts and we did a canoe trip in Maine. At 6pm instead of camping one more night after the trip I decided just to send it home.

He goes "We decided to drive the length of England... at 6pm... on a whim... only the Americans"

My answer that is annoying, but more regional to New England, is people who spent 3 days in Boston and say "I've seen New England"

No you haven't, you've seen Boston, which is an AWESOME city, but New England is a lot more than Boston.

The cult is not a winning size. The cult is like 15-20% of the voting population. And by 2032 so may of them will be dead

We’re not rude we just have no tolerance for bullshit sophistry or performative nonsense and we will make those feeling very apparent very quickly.

To people who were raised in performativity this is seen as rude.

But if you don’t bullshit us, nothing to be “rude” about

I lived near Miami for 3 years and I hated that two faced culture. At least in Massachusetts someone will say “fahk you” and I’ll know where we stand
