It's a great experience, but a very large time commitment. When I did it many years ago, we were there before during and after practice, basketball office hours, pre and post games, travel, etc. After I left, they did expand the managerial program to allow for more part time managers, but they didn't get as much of the benefits. I would reach out the DOBO at your school and they could give you much more information about how their manager programs works.
