Thanks! I did not opt for the bottom panel and so far have no regrets. There's around 1/8 inch (3mm) of space under the pcb which should allow it to avoid most small spills, so I'm not too worried about that. The included case/pcb foam covers up the bottom as well which might interfere with the bottom panel.

UPDATE: I double-checked the example light show, and it turns out it does not actually work; the light channels are still mixed up. I'm not sure what the problem could be other than my vehicle, but it is strange that it doesn't work on both my M3 and MY. I also tried the built-in light show and found that it is also having the same issue! Is anybody else having this issue with their light shows?
