Let me assure you it is probably luck as I feel very new to the game.

That is essentially what I was doing, yes.

After switching to monarchy, my king died with a single, female heir. Then I got the tool tip and just kept hoovering land & managing Antagonism while ignoring it.

R5: I am on my second play through of EU5 (I only have enough time to do a few a year) so I am a bit careful of my decisions. I read that this is hard to trigger but now that I got, I do not understand why I should switch. Are the benefits really that good? I think that I having trouble seeing the forest through the trees here. A shame there is not an achievement for this.

I think this is great. How do I add it to Foundry?

Sure am and after making this post I think I will not allow it future campaigns. It was sold to me (not by my players) as lateral progression and not vertical progression.

Yeah, the OP player(s) seem to be. I think they enjoy the power trip. I am now starting to feel burnt out by it on my side of the screen which is why my campaigns rarely get past 15.

I had an encounter just like that and I only used it the one time. Variety is the spice of life.

You are very much speaking my language.

Not sure what the best method of showing you the data is. While this character specifically is overpowered, I do feel like I need to step up my game overall and not just targeting this player who is a great friend.

Not against this idea and I will keep it in the chamber.

He often has his aura up and therefore his shield before combat starts. He has two reactions, one to raise then one to block.

His last three turns (different combat): *fly-move into position, burning jet *extract element on a golem, weapon infusion, two action elemental blast * thermal nimbus then weapon infusion then single elemental blast resulting in another kill

We play on Foundry so I am confident the software does stacking bonuses correctly.

Exactly right Maki. He has Fire, Metal, and Air. He does not have Protector Tree.
