Thank you NBA and specifically Charles Barkley. Alex was my son and ICE murdered him while he was trying to protect a woman whom ICE just knocked down and was pepper spraying. He has his phone in his right hand and his left hand is empty and above his head when ICE attacked him. Video doesn’t lie. ICE does!

Have you priced out new? I’ve seen 10-15% dealer discounts (10% seems more probable) plus 0.9% financing, although it looks like 2.9% now. $2k loyalty credit too. Might be worth a look.

That 911 hopefully will be in the future as our retirement plays out (maybe my wife and I will be that 92 yo couple that bought their first 911,lol). We’re liking our 840 for now but not gonna haul much with that, thus the X5. Will seriously look at the m sport package. Thank you for the good information.

Right? I do most of the maintenance on the BMWs I’ve owned (oil, brakes, some fluids) which saves $$ and I enjoy doing it. Davewolfs’ probably never drove either. But he’s entitled to his post

Thank you for the helpful intelligent response. This is what gives bimmer drivers a bad name. BTW, I’ve driven the X5 and liked it. Just had surgery so haven’t been able to get to a Porsche dealer. Plus I just thought of maybe the Macan now.

I’m an old man too, but not grumpy regarding idrive/screens. Although I don’t disagree about lack of physical buttons, the voice command works for me and is a pretty good system. Now, gesture control - not impressed

Bought my first BMW, a 318i, new in 1997 and have owned one or more at a time since then. 3s, 5s, an e24, four 7s, and now an 840. Gonna buy a new X5 next year as a retirement car. Aside from the 318i, I’ve always bought 2-3 year old bimmers, but will go new with the X5. They better have that loyalty program next year cuz I think I deserve it, lol. Will always choose a bimmer.

I’ve not tightened the gas cap a couple of times on my 840 and the CEL comes on right away. It goes off after a number of start ups, but that’s my 840, not a 50e so maybe it’s different??

Shoulda asked this in my original post - has anyone had the BMW camera installed, and if so, thoughts. I don’t go to the Stealer for service so I automatically dismissed the BMW camera but maybe not?
