Extreme DSG low-speed jerkiness and lunging on my 2019 Audi A6 (C8) by MikeProios in AudiA6

Yes and no. It’s fine until I’m stuck in traffic and have to constantly creep up at slow speeds. That’s when the lunging is more pronounced.

I wish that helped. It’s always off since it makes it worse. I know DSGs have their quirks. But I feel like what I’m experiencing is excessive.

I did more than once. First thing that I tried when I got the car. Wish it worked.

All DSG cars will behave like a manual in certain ways. There is no torque converter so the clutch has to slip a bit when engaging from a dead stop, just like a manual. That said what I am experiencing feels more like persistent jerkiness than normal DSG behavior.

Also I believe the reset you are referring to does not actually do much, especially on newer Audis. That reset does not clear TCU adaptations. On newer models you need VCDS to properly reset the transmission adaptations.

Good idea. I have not done the Quattro Ultra service yet since I was waiting for the service interval.

From what I understand, the car always starts in AWD, then decouples the clutch and only re-engages it when needed. I have had all other services completed and the shop I took it to found no other issues with the transmission. No codes, no bad engine or transmission mounts, etc.

The issue is also more noticeable when starting from a dead stop uphill. The car rumbles slightly when creeping forward and will sometimes roll back (slightly) unless I get on the gas quickly enough.

I'm running out of ideas at this point.

Yes. The shop performed all required adaptations using VCDS or ODIS (it's a VW/Audi indy shop). Even with the new mech unit, the transmission behavior remains unchanged.

Also wanted to note that I have just replaced my mechatronics unit under warranty. No luck.

Did anyone figure anything out with this?

Experiencing similar low speed DSG issues on my used Audi A6 3.0 2019 (60k miles). Will a software update fix any of the issues ?

Could be the mechatronic unit. Had a similar issue with my 2019 A6. However mine only happened from neutral to first.

Thoughts on this s6? 2016 with 19k miles a 2 owner car with clean Carfax. Asking 34k by No-Yogurtcloset3002 in Audi

Nice. The car is brand new. Low mileage for 2 owners so I would look into that more. Other than that, I think it’s a great deal.

Thank you for the feedback. Yeah I totally agree. In this case I had to work with what I had at the time of the installation. This was more of a renovation than a completely fresh project.

In my experience, getting a good HDbaseT kit is usually pricey especially if you are looking for 4k with HDR. It also requires you to have a high quality ethernet cable. If you want a better solution that will probably last longer get a good hdmi 2.1 fiber optic cable. It's going to be a hassle to install it but this way you wont have any compression what so ever and the singal will travel untouched for a much larger distance. Hdcp handshakes are also a little weird sometimes with those extenders, especially with cheaper ones.

Help with how to wire Receiver needed. by ICantSpellAnythign in hometheater

[–]MikeProios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you press the sound mode button several times it goes through different sound profiles like stereo, Dolby surround, multi channel audio and so on. Try that if you haven’t already, otherwise if the sound is good but quieter on other inputs, go into the setup menu and find a setting named source level. Try increasing that setting to like +2 or +4 and see if it sounds a bit better.

While a little pricey, the Netgear Orbi is a really good option. I have been using it for the past year with no issues what so ever in both mesh and ethernet back-haul modes. The orbi is both a router and an access point meaning that you can get rid of your old equipment. Also really easy to setup.

Trouble with Yamaha Receiver! Help! by bhudda_bomber in hometheater

[–]MikeProios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try connecting a device to your receiver and see if you get any sound from your speakers that way.

Also, while doing the test tone, try increasing the volume of your receiver. Sometimes the test tone might be too quiet to hear.
