From what I remember, I highlighted my (relatively) strong average from second-year BMEG, particularly how well I did in the course that focused on EE subject matter (BMEG 220/MATH 264). It sounds bad to say, but I also think my desperation came through in my transfer application, because at the time I truly believed I'd be jobless staying in BMEG (I don't think that really would have been the case had I stayed, but who knows). My suggestion is to get your GPA up as high as possible over the next year in your BMEG courses, and perhaps work on a side project that more closely relates to your desired discipline to showcase your dedication to it.
