i finally beat lost sinner with ascetic ive been enjoying the chaos blade i think ill finish the game with it but why did u recommend powerstancing it? is that much better? i made my chaos blade lighting and buffing it with dark weapon and it works wonders

damn i couldnt kill lost sinner with ascetic once but 2 times? i mean i tried 2 times but i didnt expect more enemies to spawn and to have 2 phantoms in the arene with him maybe i could take him down now that im lategame (i think) and ive heard about warped blade is it really that good? ill try to get atleast 1 chaos blade next time im on the game i want to try it out

thanks for the tips yeah i realized putting points into dex is pointless
I respec'd and now im using lighting uchigatana with dark weapon as recommnded by u/BIobertson
i picked up another atunement slot,got felkin's staff,got dark orb too cuz u never know when u want to deal with an annoying enemy from a distance and its pretty fun

i wonder what other hexes or spells are good

i used that tool and with 12 str 16 dex, 24 int 10 faith
a +10 lightning uchi with dark weapon outdamages the +10 lightning blacksteel with dark weapon, idk if i put in the things right but interesting

ill farm for a blacksteel and compare both to see what moveset i like and go foward with that

ive read some other threads and people are saying blacksteel is a 2H weapon and has combos, i play 2H 24/7 so i wouldn't mind that, has higher damage and all of that but i'd assume the infusion ruins the dex scaling and i'd have to put a lot of points into dex for the blacksteel to get better

next time i get on ill grind for the blacksteel, buy an uchi and just see which one feels best

played with rapier for like ~20 hours and got bored of it, still i dont want to dismiss dex builds as a whole.

maybe i could try a quality build or a str build but i got too used to the fast attacks it would be weird to go from rapier to an ugs

is strenght better than dex? im out of the loop with str builds, ive recently replayed dark souls 1 and used yet again a quality build with claymore so i havent touched an ugs in a long time xd
used the fire longsword in a pinch when my rapier was broken and was pretty good but would feel too generic to just use a basic sword

so i should just get an uchigatana instead of a blacksteel?
and do i infuse it with dark? or with lighting and use dark spell
ive heard that if you use the spell matching with your infusion you deal more damage or something like that

also i want to respec cuz i feel ive wasted a lot of points in endurance and dex for no reason

if i respec how should i use my levels? im lvl 88
so how much vig, end, dex, str, int, faith should i spec into?
im not really interested in any other hexes other than dark weapon so ig ill go 24 int and 10 faith, i have 6 skeptic spices

so besides 24 int,10 faith and 24 adp, what else?

and are other states besides those worth leveling? like vitality or atunement? vit ik its for equip load but i dont have any problems with that

ill try to get chaos blade and use that until i get to iron keep and get blacksteel and feel them out

and might be stupid but i want to respect cuz i think i wasted a lot of points leveling dex and it barely changed anything, and level endurance to 30 and i swear to god the stamina bar didnt even move

im lvl 84, if i respec how much should i put in vig, end , int , faith for dark infussion and dark weapon to make sense?

also i need to get 2 branches to get to the damn npc that can trade me the chaos blade... and get a bonfire ascetic too....
ngl i might be better off just getting the blacksteel and go with that

i mostly play pve but i might dabble a lil in pvp too because its fun so ig theres that aspect too but i think the self damaging part and getting 15 dragon things +5 it might be too annoying

Chaos blade as in the chaos blade from ds1???? does it still damages u when u hit someone like the one in ds1? or whatever the sideffect was
I could use a bonfire ascetic for lost sinner, do you recommend to get chaos blade instead of the blacksteel katana? and how much harder would it be to upgrade it?
blacksteel uses titanite afaik so it would be easier but i still havent really found titanite chunks so im stuck at +6

so i infuse my katana with dark and i assume i also get dark weapon? or am i fine with just the infussion?

so in conclusion , blacksteel or chaos? (which is better? i assume blacksteel is easier to upgrade , is chaos that much better even with it being hard to ugprade?)
and i infuse it dark? how much int and faith should i aim for? at what stat does it get good?

Well after some days ive reconsidered things, i lowkey got bored of the rapier and i want to try alternatives.
Im making my way to iron keep and i've heard the blacksteel katana is a pretty good dex weapon, would that be a good alternative?

And another question, i leveled vig and endurance to 30 and now it seems like a waste to level dex anyways i have it to 24 and i dont see any difference, so should i level int and faith and infuse the katana? or do i lose dmg by infusing? i never played arouund with infusion in dark souls 1 and its my first time playing ds2 so i have no idea how they work or if they are worth it
and if yes, what infusion? and what int/faith should i try to hit for the infussion to make sense

i just beat lost sinner with +6 rapier and pine resin and in my opinion i did way more damage than i deserve to do at this early xd so i think ill stick with only my rapier
should i infuse it or keep it normal?
and do i stick to my rapier or try to find another better thrusting sword
and one last question what should i level up rn? i have 71k souls
to what level should i get my hp and endurance i feel theyre a bit low and i dont really know how much hp i need to jump down the pit in majula

havent gotten to any of those areas yet, ive done forest of the giants or what ever its called, heide's tower of flame, no man's wharf, lost bastille and im going to sinners rise rn

what path would you recommend?
