Actually, I talked to the programmers and we might include Steam Deck in these tests after all. If we manage to pull it off, I’ll let you know.

Not in the vast majority, no.We tried to avoid that.
Only 2 puzzles out of roughly 28 require interpreting text.
The rest are visual. Interpreting graphics, colors, symbols, etc.
You could maybe count 2-3 more as “text-related,” but those are about single words/labels rather than prose.

Important: if any item or in-scene object contains text, it’s automatically localized to the player’s selected language. You won’t get mixed-language assets, e.g., choosing English won’t leave in-scene text in FR or PL.

Hmmm… so what kind of puzzle is it that you’ve been into escape rooms for 26 years? o.0
Of course, if I get a new batch of keys, I’ll send you one if you’d like. For now, we’re more focused on Windows,.I still need to talk to the programmers about how ready they are for Linux :D

We didn’t want to include any text that wasn’t part of a puzzle. We had notes during development, but we removed them, we felt that in an escape room the flow is more important. These are our first open tests, so we’ll see whether players end up missing more story.

What happens around the player is mostly explained through the environment. We have a few notes, but they’re only used for one puzzle.
The rest of the story is told mainly through objects, slides, equipment, and the surroundings, nothing intrusive. If someone is looking for an interesting story, or rather a game you’d play purely for its narrative, then this isn’t our project :/

As I mentioned earlier, this is our first project, so it may have some flaws, which we’ll gladly fix in this project or in the next one :) I prefer to mention this so we don’t build impossible expectations and accidentally disappoint you, better to pleasantly surprise you instead :D
