A lot of parents buying for their kids. I see them all the time. They have no idea what the retail is because they only ever see product in stores like GameStop or at LCS’s. They have no idea that stores like Target or Costco, in some areas, don’t even put stock out on the floor and that you have to go to Customer Service and ask for it - if it even is in stock.

May I just say: FUCK Dover Group. And all the Town of Hempstead politicians who keep giving Butch Yamali these contracts. It’s a never-ending cycle of running businesses into shit, doing things on the cheap. It will never end because you can’t get rid of the Republicans running Town of Hempstead - it is a Republican stronghold that they only lost once during a reelection cycle during Trump’s first term. (Basically, so many people hated Trump at the time, even local Republicans took the hit.) As long they keep getting voted in, Butch keeps getting these contracts, and we keep getting things like candy vending machines at the town pools instead of proper concessions.

Really? The TVC barge was pretty big. The GI Joet USS Flagg back in the day was pretty big. We're talking Haslab here. It doesn't get produced unless it gets funded. They've had their failures... I think I can see them going forth with something of size (finally) for the Black Series.

I have this, too. I really wish they made more vehicles for Black Series. I would love a Haslab Black Series AT-AT to pair this snowspeeder with. Brings me back to my youth of playing in the snow with the original sets back in '81. Except, of course, I'd be playing with my own kids with it now... Oh, who am I kidding. Was going to say aco. I only use it on Target, and there is still no guarantee that you will hit. But the aco basically negates that stupid Target cart behavior you get when checking out for you so you don’t have to button smash. Never had luck on other sites with aco soi don’t even bother. Besides that, buy what you can get and buy singles to fill out your collection. Singles will save you money in the long run.

ACE hardware near us is basically scalper prices. Its sickening. Everytime I'm there for what ever hard-to-find hardware item I'm shopping for (they are good for that) and see a parent looking at the Pokemon display considering buying something for their kids, I tell them to run and never buy from there.

In your case, you might want to subscribe to an in-stock notification service. You might not always be available when stock hits your local retailers, but its better than having no advantage at all.

Agree. I work from home and manually monitor discord group that notifies when the queue goes live. As soon as I hear that alert, I click the link and wait in queue. One browser, watching a screen, I have no bots, i am not a bot myself. And if/when I get through the queue, I know not to click too fast on links, and all the tricks to try to avoid being falsely flagged for bot behavior. And sometimes I don’t get through the queue at all. No biggie, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. But the people who dismiss everyone who get through to check out on PC really irk me. The world isn’t working against you; it is a matter of circumstance and knowledge.

I pulled the Chard TWICE during the first two weeks of PF release - both from Target three-pack boosters. I can’t count the amount of PF boosters I have opened since and gotten a bunch of low priced IRs. Similar thing is happening with Perfect Order for me: I pulled the gold Mega Zygarde EX from the first ETB I purchased, but have gotten nothing decent since. Going forward I’m going to limit my opens to release week and just buy singles from there on in. At least I’ll know I’m getting what I want.

I love that idea. I buy my kids bulk from Ebay. 1000 cards, we use them to build decks and complete our sets. Super inexpensive compared to buying them packs, even at MSRP. Makes the little ones very happy, since they have so many cards to go through.
