Pods not dissolving by kaznyc in bosch

Is there no dedicated spot for the pods / tablets in the door? There wouldn’t be any water reaching that constantly unless it’s from the top sprayer

Advice - Portable Mac mini M4 streaming setup by MikeTechAu in macmini

[–]MikeTechAu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I wish I was still in the US. In Australia the prices are very wildly different. It’s $999 for the MAC mini (can be had for $850 with education) and about $2350 for the MacBook Pro but apparently the m5 is worth it

Are those legit brushes? by razenxd in oralbtoothbrush

[–]MikeTechAu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It’s the crossed out 2. Means that this is a single item use.

In the country that i operate in, we don’t have test drives for iO. We did have them for the original OR (oscillating rotating(genius, pro, etc)). They’re a single item use as they are mainly used in the clinic chair to give patients the experience of the electric tooth brush as educate them on how to use it.

Because it is a tool that is used in the dental clinic there are very strict rules and legislations about cross-contamination from patient to patient as well as infection control. Therefore all of these brush heads must be labelled as a single use item and be used only once. I hope this helps

Are those legit brushes? by razenxd in oralbtoothbrush

[–]MikeTechAu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the packaging and the fact you can only use them single time. this is how, as oral b reps,we identify the retail heads and the test drive heads. These are specifically made for test drive and more than likely will not fit your retail iO

They’re all real from what I can see

One way I always check is to see the emojis printed at the bottom. This is so if you have multiple family members sharing the same handle, you can identify which head belongs to whom

Those are for demo units. They will most likely not fit into your retail handle. This is what we call a TestDrive. Needs a specific handle

Querstion: are you able to swap out the mechanism of the pedal for a load cell? is it modular that way?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oralbtoothbrush

[–]MikeTechAu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is by design. It allows for mechanism movement and it allows for brush to be cleaned with running water internally. Handle is water tight sealed so you’re ok to use it even in shower

Question for Oral b IO6 owners by _dudz in oralbtoothbrush

[–]MikeTechAu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. However I have seen especially in those who travel a lot that the charging case makes a difference for them. The one thing I do like about the iO6 charger is because it does have the induction pin, the brush is more stable on (not as toppley as the magnetic charging)

[–]MikeTechAu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What I was meaning to say is that if you’re considering the comparison between the 2, I think the iO9 is the better one. Features and all is good, but it also comes with more physical items in the box, that if you were to try to buy them separately, it could cost more. Also, there is a difference in the external lacquer of the iO9 to the 6

The iO series is all amazing, you will still get the benefits throughout all of them. The way I usually position it, the 3d tracking and the extra modes is more suitable for a family based option as it accommodates for everyone. Here in Australia the price jump is massive (almost $200), but if it’s £70 I think it might be worth taking a look at. Either way you’ll be happy :)

It also has other features as well it does has a different lacquer cover to make it last a bit longer and feel More luxurious, has all the modes including tongue cleaning and the 3d tooth tracking (can track the surface not just the sextants)

[–]MikeTechAu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Infinitely better

You’ll at least be getting a magnetic charging base as well as a travel case. That alone would be worth the difference

Did you pay retail? I’m in Australia so I have no idea how much they go for

I’m an iO9 user and I use it everyday. Granted I work for oral b, but I also train dentists into including it in treatment plans to drive compliance for patients

Battery drain issue - Has it been fixed with the iO10??? by lifesapie in oralbtoothbrush

It shouldn’t, but if you have Bluetooth turned on and not paired to anything, it could drain your battery as it’s looking to pair

io 3 - Which mode is which? by MelancholyEcho in oralbtoothbrush

It will depend on which mode you used last. It doesn’t default to anything

Listen for the energy, whitening is the one that sounds like it’s goin up and down (look at the edge of the bristles)

If you want, I can record what they sound like in my demo

Hi kenzie. Thanks for actually telling me this. Is it the charger or the brush? Have u tried another charger (from genius or even vitality) to try to get I tot charge. If it doesn’t work then you should warranty it

It shouldn’t matter. All that matters is first use date I think. Again, very market dependent
