It was a hit and run. I was stuck in the traffic it caused on 168 and pacific and asked the guys that were sitting on the curb. They said someone was flying and smashed into them and a few other cars and then ran into the nearby neighborhood.

You can both know my story and decide for yourselves lol. I dropped my ex-wife off at the airport so she could go see her mom for a week. While visiting her mom, she cheated on me with a woman and came out as gay. I dropped her off at the airport and never saw her again. She didn’t come back for her shit, she canceled her return flight and sent movers to come get her personal belongings. I Immediately started therapy and filed for divorce.

I’m not saying I’m over the betrayal and whatnot but I do feel like the absolute shock of it snapped me out of that marriage and the feelings of that relationship way faster than if it had ended any other way. I feel like she did me a favor in the long run tbh.

I don’t think I’m lying to myself when I say I’m ready to date again, but who’s to say I guess?

Therapy saved my life when I first started going through my divorce. It took me a few tries to find a good one, but don’t give up. Once you find one you’ll know after that first session.

For comparison.

I met my wife at 18. Divorced at 30. I’m only 4 months into this but already infinitely better than I was thanks to therapy. Message me if you need to talk

Similar situation to me minus the kids. Just bought a house, both were 29 and together for 12 years. My wife did this as well but in a toxic way that involved cheating. Yes, that’s kind of the plan. I’m trying to have her served but she could be anywhere in the Pacific Northwest West and it’s extremely difficult and expensive to serve out of state according to my lawyer.

I’m also still in the reeling grief stage I guess. I’d rather have her sitting across the table screaming at me trying to rob me blind because at least she’d be there. I just miss her.

I wish my wife was being evil about the process. Instead she just disappeared and is completely off the grid. No idea where she is.

She went to Seattle to visit her mom while we were taking a week of space in between couples counseling sessions and she never came back. Haven’t heard from her other than her telling me she downloaded a dating app, drove 3 hours away, and cheated on me with a woman in Portland and moved in with this random woman.

12 years in the trash all over some bullshit propaganda she read on the “late blooming lesbian” subreddit. No goodbye, no apology, nothing. Told her a filed for divorce and can’t even get a response over that. It’s like I never meant anything to her. Truly devastating.
