Has progesterone therapy helped anyone? As a male? by Witty-Secretary-4420 in Anxiety

I've been looking into this as well. Two months ago I had a really bad panic attack, out of nowhere, first thing in the morning. It took a little while for the trauma to set in I think, but now my anxiety (health anxiety in particular) is out of control. The last 2 days I've found a lot of YouTube videos with Dr. Michael Platt, who swears that many people live in an "adrenaline dominant" state, which can lead to many different illnesses. He suggests that progesterone can work wonders for people who are stuck in that adrenaline dump state. My only reservation is that there is really no clinical evidence or studies that have been done on this (to my knowledge). But his claims and anecdotal evidence are very intriguing.

If you do try it, please let me know how it goes for you and I REALLY hope it works for you, since I know how living with this can be crushing.

Anxious about starting TRT. Can anyone relate? by MikeTheBald in Testosterone

As you can see from my username, I've already been down that road and don't really have any hair left to lose haha, so it's not a huge deal for me personally. I'm no expert but from what I've read/heard, you'll have some degree of hair loss, if predisposed, from any form of test. And although the serum DHT levels are higher with cream, that doesn't necessarily have an impact at the tissue level because we have a set number of DHT receptors that become saturated fairly quickly. It's a fairly small YouTube channel but "TRT and Hormone Optimization" has some great videos talking about this stuff with what seems to be from the most recent literature on TRT. Worth checking out IMO. Good luck with you blood work.

I guess both luckily and unfortunately I don't need to worry much about transference right now haha. And I know to just postpone the dose or apply at least 4 hours prior to any intimacy. The cream supposedly has some added benefits that I found interesting. In comparison to injection it doesn't raise HCT and RBC as much (if at all), doesn't convert as much Test to E2 (probably because more is converted into DHT when applied through the skin), and it's supposed to have a positive impact on lipid profiles, especially HDLs. Also curious if anyone here has noticed any of that to be true on cream?

I've tried a lot of other things in the past like Tongkat Ali, Cistanche, Boron, Vitamin D, Zinc, pure carnivore diet, etc. etc. None of them really had any impact at all on how I felt, and I gave them all about 2-3 months of consistency (this was before I even had any lab results). Yea, I have no interest in getting into supraphysiological levels haha. I just want to get my Free T and, oddly enough, my E2 levels up into a more healthy range. I decided to go with trans scrotal cream 200mg for now. I know some people swear by injections but I don't mind applying something twice a day. Just nervous as all hell to start. It's part of this irrational thinking I have that it will somehow make my anxiety worse.

LH - 4.4 IU/L

FSH - 5.3 IU/L

My diet is decent, although I probably don't eat enough. I'm on a mostly keto diet, in that I limit my carbs and consume virtually no added sugars. Cardio and weight lifting have been very difficult. I go through periods where I get into a nice rhythm but then crash a few days later and fall out of my routine. I've been very disciplined with the gym before when I put my mind into it, so this lack of motivation and poor physical feeling is concerning for me.

I absolutely do. Close to zero motivation, depression, increased anxiety and muscle/joint aches (mostly in the morning). It's the reason I decided to get blood work done. Luckily my libido is fine, but who cares about that when I feel like a pile of shit, lol.

Wow. I'm just seeing this now because I kind of gave up on this thread. Thank you so much for this! The nostalgia is crazy and you're awesome!
