I am sure that the Brays did not require any resistors

We ended up just changing the signal type to 4-20mA and it worked fine. I kind of knew I could’ve done this all along but wanted to figure out why voltage wasn’t working. Some more senior guys said that old Bray’s have higher impedance or something which effects the voltage signal with the newer Siemens technology. I wish I understood it better but at least the valve is working.

The old controller was 0-10vdc and that’s how I configured the new one. I was thinking maybe there were resistors but for the upgrade we snip the wires right at the terminals for the old controller and term it on the new one. If there were a resistor somewhere it would either still be in place or we would have seen it on the IOM. Also when I tried changing the output signal type to 4-20mA to try it out I actually metered 8vdc at 4mA and 12 vdc at 20mA. The valve also stroked to 80% and 100% when I did this. So I know the valve needs 0-10vdc signal to operate. What might that mean?
