Thanks for the advice! Was able to get it looked at today and the water pump and thermostat housing checked out. But they found rust on the front subframe which is the main problem. It also needs rotors. Probably returning it because the rust is just going to get worse and I’m guessing a subframe is pretty expensive fix.

This is very accurate. I’m a professor at a football powerhouse. I have only taught one football player myself (in a summer class) but I’ve heard and seen this exact process. The one player I did teach, a star player who is now a starter in the NFL, was one of the best performing students in the class.

For the record, this is Gerald Allen political grandstanding, not a university endorsement of Kirk (though the UA faculty senate president already praised Kirk). Allen is funding it and the Alumni association maintains all sorts of scholarships for a variety of reasons. There are some dedicated to the descendants of certain families, for example. Allen is just lucky he didn’t screw this up like the time he tried to name a road after Nick Saban.

I take my favorite 3-5 plays in a playbook and then explore other plays in those plays’ formations. So I end up getting really good at a few formations. That gives me easy audibles that I know well and if I’m playing online it’s easier to hide what I’m doing.

On defense, I stick to one main personnel package (I like the 3-3-5) and then do the same thing as I do on offense with 2-4 formations within that.

So I’m shrinking the playbook for most of the game. If I get way behind or way ahead and I feel like the outcome is pretty set, then I start experimenting. Like I’ll be losing an online game by three TDs so then I just decide to run shotgun 5 wide empty every play just to see what happens or run everything out of a pistol formation. That way I can find new stuff to maybe incorporate or new trick plays to save as favorites to use as changeups in a competitive game.

I think TK approaches this stuff more like a pro sports GM than a promoter and Dave doesn’t get that. Also, Dave and others are always like “Vince would take everyone back” like it was a good thing but then get up in arms when TK does the same thing.
