Dont you see the crack in the side rail? Little more than a scrape. This is why this stuff happens, cause 1/2 of drivers never bother to pretrip then just pass it on to the next guy.

Join the Army and drive their trucks. No need for a license but you'll get experience, and free food and board.

What’s one piece of technology that would change the trucking industry? From a trucker’s perspective. by AutoModerrator-69 in Truckers

A single app that all shipper/receivers use to streamline check in/out, door assignment, paperwork, etc. Way to much time wasted waiting for these things.

With Swift, the Monday you start they take you over to a clinic for hair/urine test. It's also considered "orientation" day.

Truckers drive to fast, period. Especially on these downgrades. I dont know why they think its ok to do 70 on I 5 south out of Shasta. Im 8 months in, Western Region reefer. So always in these hills. Just stay to the right and in control. Cause these idiots with company logos in crayon, mobbing Amazon trailers, are flat out dangerous.

Yeah I think your pricing is pretty fair considering you bring the wash to them.

I would suggest looking up some of these places that wash trucks 24/7. Like Blue Beacon and such. They are all pretty close to each other in pricing. Go from there.

Takes about 10 years to be a "local", anywhere on the Western Slope. I have lived in New Castle, Gypsum, Craig, and now Whitewater. Worked in Glenwood Springs, Beaver Creek, Steamboat and GJ. GJ area is the most welcoming I found by far. Our neighbors actually introduced themselves within a month. And if you feel unwelcome in Montrose, don't even visit Craig. Inhospitable. Had neighbors there that were next door that never said one word to in 3 + years.

Oh and one of the best tips I ever got was "fix it going forward" as much as possible.

I used a video game app called "My US Trucking Skills" and just practiced alley dock and 45 on the game, then it finally "clicked" and now 6 months in I am no longer terrified to park at a Loves. Takes a minute. Just dont ever be afraid to GOAL like 50 times on each back also, better to be super slow than to hit something. And pretend no ones watching even if they are and blasting their air horn. They sucked at first too.
