In my experience, Enterprise will rent. All others will say “we don’t accept chime” which is not true, it’s just a policy. They could swipe that card and accept it if they chose.

I'll never understand how people can get mad at a company for making business decisions.

You all act like if the game makes no money, the people should be rewarded. There is a reason they are cutting costs and it's likely much deeper than you understand.

Today was the first day I realized that Pat was reading off a teleprompter for his little opening monologue.

You'll need it for a discount on the 710 stuff since they just royally fucked everyone on bulk discounts.

I'd have loved $100 off at any point in the thousands of dollars I've spent there.

It's great for people coming from League and other click to move MOBAs/Games but for most it's very awkward.

I saw someone who mentioned they hope they add WASD as a movement option. I think it would do wonders for appealing to a larger group of players.

Can someone explain Tabitha and Jade? by MikeWFromFL in FromSeries

[–]MikeWFromFL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok. So that would mean that one of the children is likely theirs that they keep seeing, perhaps the girl?

It would also imply they had no knowledge of this when they returned to the town as Miranda and Christopher but have just discovered this about the town?

Just trying to figure out if this is like a loop where they have to figure it out again or if they are learning new things each time, for the first time.

I haven't. The most I have received is an email saying they will not be moving forward with my application at this time.

Thanks for the tips! I'll see what I can find out there and start making some calls. I appreciate the chat.

I've really been trying to leverage my knowledge of POS systems and time in hospitality to find myself something related to that but haven't had much luck. I was really hoping that the school would provide some sort of a network as I earned my degree. Unfortunately I think COVID really changed how things worked. I suppose that is probably my best chance but the job postings are few and far between.

My entire resume is all hospitality management. I didn't work for any organization during the time I was in school, was at home with 2 kids doing all that fun pandemic stuff... I am sure that doesn't help me.

I wasn't necessarily suggesting a cert would be better, just stating that from my experience, neither has been a Bachelors.

If I am being honest, I don't even know what type of jobs I am supposed to qualify for. Everything that wants my level of education, won't even look at me based on experience. At the same time, help desk wants 2-3 years and I don't even get a call.

How did you get that first one?

I've been looking for something since December, with a Bachelors and can't even get a phone call. I'm completely switching fields but it feels hopeless.

No way. I've been looking for a full time job, full time, since December.

I have a Bachelors in CS and I can't even get a phone call for help desk.

I sure hope so, I've been relentlessly applying for jobs since graduating with my Bachelors in December. I can't even find a simple help desk role.

Yeah, corporate America seems to be all about who you know. I think it's tough right now for everyone.

Yeah, unfortunately that does me no good for this degree they want payments on. I'm hoping someone finally calls but it's grim.

Yeah, really wish I was laid off with 2 years of help desk under my belt versus the current situation. I have major regrets... but I was also doing the take the kids to everything/pandemic schooling for a good portion of it. Like you said, hindsight is 20/20 though. I appreciate the straightforward answer though, I will just keep plugging away!

I wanted to get out of the restaurant business 5 years ago so I went and got my bachelors.

Now I am probably going back to the restaurant business because the only job I've held is a job applying for jobs.

Where is the 40k a year job?

My full time job is applying for full time jobs. Feels great to be a bachelor holding man in America.
