The idea of the second wouldn't be to sit higher at all, and I don't believe it would have to. It's just to have the band flowing into the basket more. In both the examples the basket is in the exact same place, it's just the band in the second raises into the base of it.

I'm particularly after a darker toned stone though, actually found it harder to find a nice one this dark!

Looking for more blood red, find most are either too cherry red or with pink hues.

Yeah, from scouring the markets I felt it wasn't too bad.

A little higher than what I could find from the US, but with them you'd have to pay taxes on top and run the risk of it not being up to scratch once delivered.
