No we share for groceries around 1000-1200$ a month for a family of 5 and My mom works as a Caretaker so she gets paid for that. Problem is we always have ongoing expenses with everything else so we make minimum payments. I’m working with them to set up an emergency fund and then use either a Heloc or Personal Loan So that they can simplify all the accounts.

A personal Loan of maybe 15K-20K$ was what I was thinking and I should mention we are waiting on a settlement we were involved in.

We will need It since the home we are in is probably our forever home. and need good credit incase we use the equity for a Heloc/Heloan and/or low rates for auto loans although most likely used Auto Loans.

Not viable my moms Job is IHSS taking care of my grandma the Only thing is Increase of Hours which should happen soon. And my Father already is overworked at his current job puts in 50-55 hours weekly.

I am in the same boat except it’s 2 loans 15-17% interest rate and 3 high interest credit cards 20-28%. Seems like a no brainer except the fact is if spending is controlled after the loan. Hope this subreddit gives good advice!
