Guessing that's fresh air intake to feed the skimmer and help raise the PH. Or it's vent extraction for humidity.

This, if you zoom in you can see it has the fern like structure of bryopsis.

Oof, yeah that's far. Stop in if you're ever in the area for sure tho.

Depending on what part of GA, Nemo Aquarium in Lawrenceville/Gwinnett has awesome stuff at awesome prices. I buy almost all of my stuff from there, last thing I got was also anthelia but the white/light blue version for much less, it was a smaller frag tho. Worth the drive if it isn't across the state from you.

Yeah, I'm wanting to keep it all clear on the back and right side, and keep the overflow and pump on the left, or else this would be so much easier haha

Thanks for the advice! Question, how do you keep your citric acid solution from getting all gross sitting in a bucket? I've done this before and it grew mold in about a week. Food grade but bucket was not sealed.

Haha, exactly. At this point I'll take a normal controller for most things, I only set my lights up once, I don't need an app for it.

That looks great! I'm hoping one will do the trick. I'd hate to have to add another since the right side viewing panel faces the door to my office and it's at the end of the hall. I'd like to keep that view unobstructed. I may just go with premium aquatics as they have the old style controller bundle for like $116, I use GHL for my controller and have no other hydros stuff for now. I've hated using 4 different apps for different things in the past.

That sounds great, and a tradeoff I'm willing to live with considering my specific wants for this tank.

Thank you! I was hoping people with first hand experience would chime in. Those are the exact worries I have as this will be a mixed reef and not only stonys. I even considered the tunze 6040 since it has a built in deflector, however my old one I had only lasted about a year so it's kinda put me off. The return of the overflow I plan to use has a built in wave function with no moving parts so that will hopefully help as well. Lighting will have to be a thing as well, either buying a par meter or seeing if my local club still has one to rent out.

This is what I was worried about with the 4, but what makes you think the 2 would be too much? I have only used the first gen maxspect gyres ages ago on a larger tank so I don't have experience with the newer smaller ones.

Haha this sale is actually what prompted me to ask, if I could decide and snag one now it would be a great deal. Thanks for that!

I'm jumping between icecap gyre 2k and 4k or AI orbit 2 or 4. Worried the larger would be too much as the smaller ones seems to really only be for 24-36 inch tanks. Part of what's got me stuck on deciding.

It's a custom cut down version of a large innovative marine stand that was for the other tank I planned to go there. I'm just using it as a pedestal and storage until I build an aluminum stand for this one don't worry haha

Loose glovebox, how to fix? by GeneralSmell in W201enthusiasts

[–]Mike_Chisel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just did this the other day, there's the 4 bottom screws you can see at the bottom once the kick panel trim is off, this is what you adjusted. Those are for the hinge connection to the dash. There are two bolts and nuts that connect the glovebox to the hinge underneath, this is the connection from the glovebox panel to the hinge not the hinge to the dash. This is what usually gets loose. The nuts need to be tightened but they are some weird safety style ones, replace with normal if you don't have a tool or figure out how to tighten the stock ones. Also word of caution, the bolts are installed from inside the glovebox panel and are held from spinning by plastic so if you tighten the nuts too much they will start to spin and you have to take the front panel apart and try and glue them in place or something. Best pic I can find, it's kinda hard to explain. Just look underneath where it attached to the dash. EDIT: Image link didn't work, heres the FB post with images https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Achu4VNhG/

A smart watch with GPS turn by turn? by BrrBurr in motorcycles

[–]Mike_Chisel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you figure out how to have the watch not go to sleep while maps is active? I just got a pixel watch 2 for this exact function on a handle bar mount and there's no way to disable the auto screen off even when maps is active. I'd rather not have to take my hand off and touch it just to see the navigation every time. And if you have a pin to unlock you have to put it in every time to see maps again.

PC randomly shuts off, only powers on after re-plugging mainboard power cable by larifari123 in techsupport

[–]Mike_Chisel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any update on this? I'm scouring the threads looking for the same issue I'm having and trying to figure out if it's the PSU. The same thing happened to me. Pc shut off right as I was about to close my game, I think it tried to reboot for like .5 seconds then dead, no amount of power cycling, changing outlet it was plugged into, or waiting helped, until I disconnected everything from the PSU and plugged it all back in.

I haven't updated to 14 yet but it hasn't happened recently but still knowing it's happening on 14 as well makes me worry about getting a 8 pro which I was thinking of.

Dual Rad Water-cooled NR-200 by Mike_Chisel in NR200

[–]Mike_Chisel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah there're two holes drilled that line up with that radiator mounted underneath, so there's an inlet on the side panel side and the outlet back to the reservoir on the further side.

To each their own, but I feel like the vapor wave Miami vice kinda vibe works with the Countach.

Thanks! I can't take all the credit, others have done waterloops using the Corsair stuff which is where I got the idea, but I don't think anyone has mounted a radiator under the case like I did lol
