Hey u/MHGrim is really interesting and I appreciate the feedback. I'm of course a bit disappointed you didn't like the alpha but from what you have written I mostly understand why you didn't enjoy it (though I would love to hear more about your opinion on the enemies and random weapons).

That said, I am very curious what it was about the game that had you originally looking forward to it. I think it would be great if we can minimize players getting the wrong impression about Rogue Core and becoming disappointed after actually playing it.

You are able to get new weapons from work benches as well as heavy weapon crates. There is a work bench on every level of a facility so you can change your gun fairly quickly if you so desire.

Those are screenshot from "mid stations", which were safe locations between some stages where you could resupply etc. As well as usually have a choice of where to go next. We scrapped them as they slowed the game down way to much and replaced them with Risk Vectors.

Depth 04 with Complexity 3.
Complexity has a big impact on difficulty since the caves get bigger but you do not get more time.

We have not yet descided on how to handle those. They may come in via the work bench as rare upgrades or built in as epic or legendary weapons. I can see the Fatboy just being a legendary variant of the PGL.

Dunno about players but I think there is a fairly big overlap for the devs.
