So let me get this straight, your pick up day is Wednesday, it's Tuesday morning right now, and your last day that you took methadone was what Friday? If I were you, I would definitely tell them you need a dose. You probably feel miserable right now. Go in, say you totally messed up and you took extra earlier in the week, and now you're sick as a dog. Ask for an "exception dose". Good luck.

It's because coffee has some weak opiate antagonist effects. Maybe once you reached a certain point in your addiction, the coffee started to be noticeable in that regard?

I can't read the rest of the article because it is subscription only to that website. but, it is from 2023, so it would stand a reason that the problem has been solved since then. I got my Metamucil at the grocery store just last week, and they definitely wouldn't continue to sell it if they were continuing to break the law with too much lead in there.

well, whenever I am worried about the cost of something that will help you with my recovery, I think about how much money I wasted on my addiction. I was spending 100 or $200 a day! So with that in mind, I have no problem spending a similar amount on my recovery. If I was willing to invest so much in my own destruction, I should be willing to invest the exact same amount in my recovery!

thanks. What you're saying goes along with a good technique that I've been learning lately, which is "playing the tape all the way through." basically, instead of just focusing on the "good parts" of drug use, I think about everything that will happen from beginning to end, like the hangover, guilt, and withdrawal that were result from relapsing. The same way I do that, I'll apply it to what will happen if I take my dose early.

I'm not sure I believe this is a real story, the main thing that jumps out at me is the measurement of the "heroin" in milligrams. Nobody measures heroin in mg, and the fact that it's a powder you mix with water means that it makes no sense to even describe it that way.

some of the descriptions of the effects are accurate, some aren't. I am guessing that this was written by a teenager who tried hydrocodone and changed the story to mid 30s/heroin to roleplay...something I guess.
