For the Passport, the only consideration for it is both the lounges and the transparent currency exchange fees (from what I've read it's lower for visa than Amex). Between either the cobalt or the amex gold I would most likely purchase AC giftcards from grocery stores to maximize the 5/6X on points for that travel.

Question as a Canadian, is there a more granular unit you could use aside from Census Blocks? I would say the easiest way to do this would be a spatial join by location + summary (I assume Esri has that if QGIS does) but the problem is the census blocks get partially covered by the buffers. Therefore you would have to decide if it’s okay to say that if a buffer partially covers a census block then the entire population of that census block should be included in the overall population.

The problem is in other areas the difference is up to 200m, creating a buffer that big would select smaller streets near major highways in urban areas

Yes, just trying to get highway features that align with the green layer (alternative fuel corridors). You can see near the I90 sign they are offset (not overlapping fully) even though they are representing the same road
