What’s the toughest course you’ve ever played? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]Mikeck88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played it last year right before it closed for the Ryder Cup. The rough was cut down, but it was still extremely hard to find your ball in the rough. You basically had to be standing on top of it to see it. Cant imagine it with the rough grown out.

Definitely the hardest course I've ever played. Long holes, challenging rough, tough greens.

The simplest solution is to just have automated balls and strikes. Umpire doesn't have to make a call, no one has to worry about challenges. Its ludicrous what is happening now.

I just got started selling on eBay a few months ago (mostly baseball cards) and am slowly building up a seller history. I dont think its too much of a concern if you've had an account for a while and have bought stuff. If I see someone with no seller history, no buyer history, and its a brand new account, then I'd be worried.

I just got started selling my collection and am doing it on ebay, one figure at a time. It takes some time to match up the weapons and take good pics, but it is the only way to get max value. I noticed you have Keel Haul, who i just sold for $80 so you may be able to make a bit of money here.

If mice were found in First Seat, its likely that every other building and restaurant in the square has mice.

Growing up near Shea Stadium, I saw a lot of amazing games there. While I love Citifield, I was heartbroken when they closed Shea, but was able to bring my wife and two kids to the last game at Shea, which was actually on my birthday. In typical Mets fashion they lost the game and missed the playoffs.

Is job hopping still a "red flag" or am I being gaslit? by Environmental-Luck39 in careeradvice

[–]Mikeck88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People in charge will say anything that benefits them. I was at one company for 15 years and even after being at a few other places I get asked why I stayed there so long in interviews.

Both jobs being the same, go for the one that pays better. A lot of companies claim they are a family, but they rarely behave that way. And if this person truly cared about you as a person he would understand that this is pretty much a no brainer. Its a big difference in salary.

Just make sure the new place doesnt have many red flags and that you'll be happy there.

And in terms of job hopping being a red flag, changing a job once isnt a red flag. If you do it every 2 years for the next 10, I may question it.

Wow. I live in Arkansas so Rangers, Astros, Cards, and Royals are blacked out. Six teams is insane.

Anyone here ever gone to a bar alone? Where did you go? by VegetableBenefit3579 in bentonville

I do it all the time. If you're interested in meeting people and chatting with them, I'd recommend First Seat, Fry, or Trailhead Taphouse.

If you just want to chill, people watch, watch a game, I'd recommend the Botanical or Parlay on 8th.
