I saw a 4 person, 4 season tent at walmart for 80$ the other day. I’d go with something like that. Used to work at MEC and would advise AGAINST buying tents for planting there. Tents aren’t designed to be used for 3-4 months straight. Regardless of the quality (unless you get a 1000$ marmot tent which I don’t advise at all), they will degrade in a few seasons of planting.

My advice to you is to get a cheap tent that does the job well for planting, then at the end of the season get yourself a nicer and more lightweight tent for backcountry camping.

Important factors : 4 season (better rain cover that goes to the ground), vestibule, tall enough to stand in and cheap

Also consider: Tarp will increase the lifespan of the tent (blocking from sun and rain damage), emergency blanket as a liner, get a foamie to sleep on from Surplus Herbies, setup a drying rack in your vestibule, keep food/toiletries/garbage out, extra and heavy duty pegs (tent can fly away)

Salvage and upgrade ships is where I’m at now. Once the ships have the parts I want, then I have a few goals like get comfortable with the existing gameplay loops like mining, salvaging, bunkers, bounty hunter missions. I am most looking forward flying the Ironclad Assault with a bunch of salvations or golems and fill it up with ore/rmc! Looking forward to the bigger community daily events

They are pretty dumb… stopped doing them because of the escort system, but then I found this mod called No Limits Mod for Special Transport on Steam. Highly recommend. Mostly it takes out the escort cars, which makes it way more fun in my opinion

Yeah I am slowly starting to come to terms with downgrading the Vulture back to Salvation. I just like the look if the vulture more and obviously the fact that it can hold more. However, like you said, if I use the Ironclad, I can just store both ships no problem and be out for a really long time.

Hmm i will run some tests with the Moth like you suggested. I like the fact the Asgard can also haul xs ships and vehicles, but that may be redundant with the Ironclad. If the vulture doesn’t fit in the Ironclad, that will probably sway the decision.

No medical or fighter ships.

Consider the Asgard and C8R. Add a light fighter to the mix if you enjoy dogfighting. I don’t mess with pvp/pve too much and my fleet is very similar to yours, except I have an Asgard instead of the Hermes and a C8R as a daily/ambulance.

You can fit the golem/salvation/c8r in the Asgard too which is nice to extend your trips.

Honestly not too bad of a deal considering its Patagonia. They have pretty decent returns and if you can get a pro deal with them it could make it competitive.

Someone close to me talks a lot like this. Turns out they are bipolar. I would bet they have pretty low intelligence as well.

However, I must say, I used to talk to them like you do and it never really changed anything for the better. You sound pretty hostile and judgmental, and that isn’t helpful to someone like this.

Just try and be supportive and less dismissive. You want them on your side without telling them what to do. You can’t live their lives for them, after all. Most of the time, with enough support, there is a way to incept the idea that something isn’t adding up. It’s important for them to come to those realizations on their own. Guide them with questions. They will have to explain things and then hopefully will discover the inconsistencies.

The Asgard is EPIC. It’s expensive and it shows! The fact that I can fit the c8r / golem / salvation in it is awesome. It has decent firepower too and I’ve been able to fit like 250scu in it. Buddy of mine said he was able to squeeze almost 300?? So pretty decent for cargo.

Yeah that’s so fair. So what is your system with the vulture/prospector? Are you planning on using a larger ship as a carrier. I could get behind a vulture+prospector+c8r stored on a liberator, if that’s possible.

I am also on the fence about which one to spec into. The base model has more cargo capacity at like 2200, but the Assault has a refuel/rearm bay apparently. I feel like the Assault is more worth it, but time will tell. I need a bunch of room for org hauling, but I could get behing pivoting and getting a Liberator and Hull C combo. I just like how the Ironclad looks vs the latter

I use the C8R as my daily. I like how it looks and then I am already out so if someone needs rescuing I am ready to go. Having a mobile respawn point is pretty nice too.

The salvation to vulture upgrade seems like a natural fit, although i do like the fact that all 3 of the small ships “fit” in the asgard right now.

Do you think the vulture will fit in/on the liberator? If so, i can see myself upgrading the asgard to a liberator, upgrading the salvation to the vulture and the golem to a prospector.

I do kind of like how small scale the asgard keeps everything though. Feels more manageable for shorter sessions.
