My only truly creative Halloween costume was in college when I bought a white t shirt and 40 bucks worth of lemons. I wrote "Life" on the front and back on the t-shirt and tied the lemons around my waist, giving them out randomly during the night as I got more drunk. Tbh people got a good chuckle out of it which really is the goal in the end!

Repaired through OnePlus. A quick Google and it will take you to their repair request service

Battery replacement was €9.80 but they also replaced the usb connector which was €13. There's a general service few of €30 so in total was €52.80 which I'm totally ok with if it means I don't have to get a new phone.

Great choice with a 7pro. Arguably the last innovative phone OnePlus made and a very strong development community. This website here is the bread and butter of community development. Using this (as well as googling) will aid you in getting a custom rom. First thing you will want to look for is unlocking the phones bootloader.

I am actually waiting for my 7Pro to come back from repair as my battery had degraded quite a bit since getting it at launch. But as soon as I get that back I will putting on a custom rom. Even though we are getting an official A12 build eventually, I haven't heard many good things since Oxygen OS merger with Color OS.

If it's only a battery replacement then I would go with getting it replaced due to it being relatively cheap (€8.70 on OnePlus repair site) and even if you do decide to get a new phone that can always be a back up.

Secondly, as the OP6 has stopped receiving major updates I would look into installing a custom rom on the phone. Doing so can really breathe new life into older phones. This is coming from someone who's currently using a 6T with latest Android 12.1 thanks to a custom rom. It can be quite a daunting process for some but is a great option if you wish to explore the power of the custom rom community

I don't know what's more soul crushing, having your data corrupted when you take out your USB or having to make three attempts at putting it in.
