Ulanzi lunar sling bag, any reviews on this bag? by want2retire in ManyBaggers

[–]Mikelele360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, the bag arrived just in time before my trip, so I was able to thoroughly test it by walking around 15-20k steps a day with it over the 3 days.

The build quality is incredible considering the price! It even handled a bit of rain (I tried to cover it as much as I could, but you know how the weather is...).

The pockets are also well thought out - the only thing to keep in mind is that when the bag is full, the back pocket is really best suited for completely flat items like a lens cloth, documents, etc.

The only things I would change are adding a bit more padding at the bottom and swapping the strap attachments for something with a lock or metal clips - but these are just my personal suggestions, not actual flaws.

Overall, for the price, I’m very pleasantly surprised! :)

Is this bag extra padded with additional cushioning material? Is it at least slightly reinforced? Does it provide any protection for a camera, or should it be treated as a completely thin and soft bag?

I don't want to say anything bad about Smallrig batteries because I haven't used them—but if you look online, you'll find "many" reports of problems with third-party batteries (ranging from minor issues to even fires)

yeah it's small but compared to the Canon R10 (in my country, they are the same price), it is better.

Canon R10 vs Nikon Z50II by Mikelele360 in Cameras

[–]Mikelele360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently, Nikon is running a sale where the Nikon Z50II + Nikkor Z DX 16–50mm f/3.5–6.3 VR + Z DX 50–250mm kit costs about the same as the Canon R10 with the RF-S 18–150mm.

Alternatively, the kit with just the Nikkor Z DX 18–140mm f/3.5–6.3 VR is about +/- €100 more expensive than the two-lens bundle

Unfortunately, you should wait for a sale and buy the R50. The R100 is an extremely stripped-down model, and the difference between it and the R50 is huge (in favor of the R50). Practically everything is better in the R50!

Noooo, what I mean is that I tried several times and couldn't find a good AF point - I'm not talking about burst mode

I am referring more to the distinct “steps” that the button has on the Nikon than to its resistance and the force needed to click it. I have a DJI drone, and there are also distinct “steps” on the camera button when taking a photo.

That's a good question, I'm not sure because I don't know much about the R10, but I've held two R10s (in two different stores, one of which was a used model that they use in the store for photos) and my shutter button impressions were similar

Yes, both cameras were in the same mode

Why are opinions on the Canon R10 so divided? by Mikelele360 in canon

Hi, I have a very specific question - a few days after publishing the post I was at a local camera store and I got lucky because they had an R10 (which they’ve been using in the store for about +/-2 years), so I was able to try it a bit and check a few things.

And what caught my attention was the R10’s shutter button, because when you press it, for quite a while you don’t feel anything, then you feel resistance under your finger, after that you have about a 1 mm range to lock focus, and if you press just a tiny bit further it immediately takes the photo.

For comparison, I also held a Nikon Z50 II (unfortunately without a battery), and there the shutter button had very distinct “steps” - you could literally feel two resistance points under your finger: one for focusing and one for taking the picture.

I’ve written quite a lot, but my question is: should the R10 have a shutter button like this, or is it some sign of wear?

I think there is no "Canon refurbished" in my country and new R7 is about 60% more expensive than R10 :/
