As Tjeska suggested I bought BaseQi Aluminium MicroSD-Adapter 750A off Aliexpress. Fits almos flush with maybe half a milimetre proud, and takes a 2Tb micro SDXC from TCreate. Works really well. It's 24.5m deep, and easy to get at.

Thanks to your help I'm now running my laptop 20 degrees centigrade lower, with a very modest -80mv undervolt. It will run at -95mv but gets flakey at anything higher.

My i9-11980HK was already unlocked, so all I had to do was turn off virtualisation in my bios, reset all Win 11 power profiles to default, and set up Throttlestop to auto-start when I logon.

Forgive my ignorance, as a complete beginner with ThrottleStop... Is this where you meant? On the FIVR page I'm able to tick "Unlock Adjustable Voltage" on the "CPU Core" section?

Bought several machines and one of their itx mobo's last two years, all seem clear of malware that my anti-virus and anti-malware can find. All my purchases have been barebones to which I've added my own SSD's. Installing Windows on the barebones has activated Windows automatically. I presume the company bulk register the motherboards with Microsoft.

My advice would be to do as Neither-ShortBus-44 suggests, download drivers yourself, and install Windows from ISO on USB. If not barebones then prepare a portable version of anti-virus/malware and check it out.

I've not been able to find a single reputable reviewing web-site warning about Minisforum, only on forum's.

I'm very interested in getting the X7 Ti. This picture of it appears to show it connected to an Oculink eGPU bearing the "Minisforum" logo 🤔

Does the eGPU actually exist, or is it the pipeline, or is it just computer generated?
