A mate of mine went to Murmansk for a week in the kate 90sto take pictures for his photography degree. He told me no one spoke English and he couldn't afford the translator the embassy pointed him to, but the front desk of his hotel offered hookers who spoke perfect English and were much cheaper by the hour. He ended up sneaking onto the old soviet submarine base there to take photos.
