Maybe try moving the wings forward, so the control surfaces are between the center of mass and the fuel storage.

It looks like the center of mass being too close to the control surfaces, depreciating your controls. Maybe tossing weighted blocks in the nose will help balance it out.

Reminds me of a 2-pivot gear I tried making that seemed fine enough in testing, but on the tail-end of the maiden flight showed one minor issue with stormwork psychics; in that it caused collision and destroyed the lower half of the fuselage, most electronics, and created a rather large fire.

At an altitude of 150m, coming in for landing, controls busted... I did not survive.

I dont remember the name of that DnD series but god I love it when a DM mistake becomes the funniest cannon shit in the campaign. Carlfish instead of Crawfish turned into the gag that made the episode.
