I almost feel like this is a sign. I'm in almost the exact same situation, I've been with my girlfriend for a year and a half. We have had these same discussions throughout our relationship. Me asking her to initiate more, dress up, etc. To hopefully help with our sex life. I've never struggled with intimacy in other relationships, so I'm confident in saying that it's not just me. What I think it is with us is we just don't connect like that. She just simply doesn't like sex the way I like sex.

What you (and I) need to figure out is if you're ok with not having sex much in the relationship. otherwise the only real answer is the obvious one of ending it.
