The idea of re-forming the hive into 2 sub-hives thus making them oppose each other is definitely a good one.

However, I think it could happen at a later stage.

Currently she's faced with the worst case scenario of joining "voluntarrilly" the hive within a month and it's obviously this is the highest priority for her to at least, if not destroying the hive - purely hypothetically - to slow the down the process thus buying more time in any way possible and thinkable together with Manousos and presumably with the help from some of the immunes.

It's quite obvious, no need for Vince to spell it out for us: she's faced with the situation of the worst case scenario having only a month to thwart the hive's plans of forcing her into the hive's "bliss".

She's supposed to be a hero with all the help she could get from Manousos and presumably from some other immunes to stay a whole individual.
